The topic is about GGG, I want GGG to face Ward.
Lets try to be real clear here so the GGG fanboys can wrap their heads around it, I'm neither a fan boy of either Ward or GGG, yet I enjoy watching both. You guys desperate for Ward to move up have genuine fears he'd beat GGG, why would you not want to see your favourite fighter in competitive fights instead of one sided mis matches, it's bizarre, it's almost like an admission you're afraid he will lose.
I have no agenda here as I'm neutral, you guys are the ones who give GGG moderate supporters a bad name with your cringeworthy behaviour, Barcham and Golovkin especially. Those guys should be up for ****** of the Year, I'll have to amend the poll.
Golovkin will move up in his own good time, once he has achieved what he wants to achieve at MW. There is no reason for him to move up before that time. And should he not also be permitted a tune up or two at 168 before having to take on the fighter his fans claim is the best in the world at SMW? Why does he have to fight Ward immediately, in his very first fight at 168? Or is only Ward who gets the benefits of a tune up?
Ward fans simply fail to see the hypocrisy of their viewpoint. They claim all these concessions for their fighter but are unwilling to allow even the slightest concession for GGG. It is so sad to see that it has become outright disgusting.
As for Golovkin... I have been saying for months now that people are underestimating his defensive skills. Now today after the Lemieux fight, all I am reading in the media is how surprised they were and how good GGG's defensive skills are. As if this was new to everyone. Yeah, experts. Sure they are.Last edited by Barcham; 10-18-2015, 03:18 PM.

The Ring vacated Ward's "lineal belt" on Feb 19, this year...
Ward isn't ranked because nobody knows what direction he will take... WBA still has him as 'Super' champ at 168.

A title he has not defended since the Super Six. Not bad. I apologize if I just do not get the fascination and adoration for this guy. Imagine an athlete in ANY OTHER SPORT who did nothing at all for almost 4 years receiving the accolades from fans that Ward receives? It would never happen.
Could Brady play in one game every two years and be looked at as a great QB?
Damn! Even a music artist could not survive if they released music as rarely as Ward gets in the ring.
I just do not get it. I demand the most from the athletes I follow. I want them out there competing and winning and doing their absolute best against the best. I guess I just have higher standards than some.
Ward fans would make great Toronto Maple Leaf fans.

I think GGG slipped up for sure with the shot to Lemieux after he took a knee and I was actually surprised there was no point deduction...although it wouldn't have made a difference obviously.
As far as the stoppage goes...I think the referee was starting to consider stopping it and you can see here that when Lemieux looked over at referee he sealed the stoppage...he should have been looking at Golovkin instead. He looked beat and he was never really in the fight.
