the Lemieux fight was signed, and they are mando for Cotto-Canelo winner. ANY deal stipulating a revenue split now for a fight that is 6-12 months away at the earliest is a non-starter. Loeffler was actually being polite by even refusing it. Truthfully it didnt even deserve a reply.

According to Ward's (twisted) logic no one, except Ward obviously, is allowed to have big fights or the are cherry picking/cashing. Everyone is expected to chase the greatness and fight beyond their weight classes instead of unifying, but not Ward because "if he moves up and fights Kovalev and beats him then what?".

I'm sick and tired of this hypocrite pretending to be a good christian. If he wants big money fights my advice: "work biatch" He can't fight once in two years and expect everything to go his way.

GGG and his team answered it very directly: Andre Ward at 168 presents too big of a risk of a LOSS to GGG. They are not confident in his ability to win that fight. They would "consider" 164. They would fight Froch or Chavez at 168, lesser fighters for more money and less risk of GGG losing. GGG and his team do not believe he can beat the best at 168 so he will stay at 160.

Based off what Loeffler said last week, I got the impression that Ward's team was trying to dictate the terms and offered them a 50/50 split which was non-negotiable. You could understand why GGG's team would reject the supposed offer with a PPV coming up the gap between the two fighters could widen depending on the success of that PPV and they didn't want to be stuck with a 50/50 split when they were the A-side in the promotion.

But... Yormack is saying that they didn't even get a chance to negotiate a split or the venue or anything because Loeffler denied the offer as soon as he got it. Yarmack implied that he just sent them an offer to start the dialogue and that it wasn't a final take-it-or-leave-it type of offer.

It doesn't look good on Loeffler to be honest.
