Ward wants what every fighter wants, shine AND a good payday, and Golovkin just so happens to be the easiest way to get it.
Which is a lot more than Golovkin wants from Ward !
This is what happened.....
Team Golovkin said.....
* " anyone from 154-168 "
* they were willing to fight Froch and Chavez
* they stated that Gennady would KTFO Ward
* they stated that Ward would run
* they stated that Ward would duck Gennady
Ward called their bluff !
I laughed !
You made excuses !
since it said 154-168, and not 154-172, obviously it doesnt even include Ward

Spare me the "negotiations" bullshit, too. Cuz all ya where doing was moaning & bitching about catchweights when it came to Cotto.
Again, it's common sense.
we know what time it is.
little g and his team knows ward is a threat.

I post the proof to back up my point of view and the Wardtards vanish into the woodwork like the roaches they really are or try to avoid the facts by going in some other direction.
Bunch of chicken turds.
And according to that video, Ward did a " Mayweather "..... he walked up to Loeffler and told him to stop saying his name if they had no intention of fighting him.
I bookmarked that video to use when folks try that "Ward is ducking Golovkin", or that "Ward aint interested", rubbish.
And the excuse that Loeffler gave was just the same old weak sauce.
Heard that one before.....
" Ward is not a big enough fight "..... even though, he clearly is..... and even though, that would be a breakout fight and a huge financial windfall for Golovkin.
He wants to become a PPV star, right ?
There was a big debate recently here on boxingscene about whether Golovkin was really a P4P fighter, a lot of observers felt that he was being over-rated due to his underwhelming resume'..... well, beating Andre Ward would make him the best P4P fighter on the planet.
I do realise that Hoya was a huge payday..... but Mayweather and Pacquiao went up in weight to fight him, and yet Golovkin will only go up for old Froch.

Ward does massive numbers on Ppv in New Zealand? It's different in America, hardly anyone tunes into basic cable to watch him so

Initially, Ward stated that 172 for the Smith fight was to help him work his way back down to 168. I imagined his next fight would be another tuneup at 170, and then 168 after that.
Not sure whats up now, I guess the weight they determine for his next fight will tell the whole story. Likely, 170 or under meaning SMW, or 172 and over meaning LHW.
The revelations over the last 2 weeks indicate that Golovkin/Ward will never happen..... he has Degale/Jack at 168, but those guys aren't established so maybe it is time for Ward to move up.
My guess is, that decision will depend entirely upon how easy it is for him to make 170/168..... if he can still make 168 he could stay put considering that Kovalev appears to be tied up for the immediate future.
But I am sure that he would make 168 for Golovkin if that fight was next.
