He's i n a tough spot. Him and his team know he needs more work but he has to act like he's got this under control.

I hope he gets 2 more tough fights in before Povetkin.

Both are clearly chinny and Wilder can **** harder than any of those two and its more than likely AJ is juiced up to his eyeballs.
Neither Fury nor AJ have ever been stopped, amateur or pro, unlike Wilder, who was ko'd by a CW in the amateurs.

Fury has fought better opponents than Wilder as a pro and AJ won Olympic gold, compared to Wilder's bronze.

For those saying Wilder will drop his belt, think about it. He would be throwing away his belt, losing it. He might as well fight Povetkin because if he loses his belt he'll lose it but in a more credible way.

Plus of course he could still hold the title if he beats Povetkin. So he could only drop the belt in which a double negative is the sole outcome, or he can go for a single negative or a positive by fighting Povetkin.

(One sole choice VS two choices)

Povetkin beats Wilder now, later, whenever really. Just make the fight instead of throwing out offers to Hughie Fury.

He won't drop the belt. People are just impatient. They aren't required to negotiate until November. Why not take interim fights so be can be better prepared?

All criticisms aside, I like the fact that Wilder plans to be "an active champion" fighting 3-4 times a year. Too often, champions or titlists, only fight 1-2 times a year when they become popular.

The thing that kills me is that many of the same folks criticizing Wilder's "stay active, even if its against ****ty comp" approach. Are the same ones that massage GGG's ballsack for doing the same.

Wilder's ****ty comp is a lot more ****ty than GGG's.

But the big difference between Wilder and GGG is that all the top men in GGG's division, apart from Lemieux, have refused to fight him. None of the top HWs would turn down a fight with Wilder if Haymon would stop protecting him.
