I'm certainly a Wilder fan, and when the fight happens I'll be rooting for him, but why the wait?

i don't get it, if he wasn't ready, why did he/they take a fight for a belt? and the funny thing is that he goes around calling himself THE HW champion of the world

Wilder has the big multi million pound money fights between Povetkin or Wlad ready for him whenever he wants. GGG doesn't have that option. Froch, Cotto etc want nothing to do with him. Not to mention Golovkin regularly fights ring top 10 opposition. Wilder is fighting cnuting Molina and calling out Hughie Fury and Shannon 'Washed Up Old Fart' Briggs.

Better question is why NOT wait? Povetkin's promoter Ryabinsky throws money at these purse bids like a drunken sailor on shore leave to keep his boy fighting in Moscow. Just by waiting a few months, Wilder can pick up a few extra million to fight Sasha.

So when is this happening? I don't mind one more "tune up" via Wilder if it's against a legit opponent but the Povetkin fight has to happen early 2016 at the latest.

Highly doubt it happens in December since povetkin fights on November. Jan Or feb most likely

That being said i gotta laugh at all these guys acting like povetkin is some sort of Russian grim reaper, that juiced up fat boy gasses after 3 rounds and is a low skilled plodder, hes actually a guy i think wilder could handle.
He's simultaneously fat and juiced and gasses in the 3rd round but KO'd Takam in the 10th, Charr in the 7th, Byrd in the 11th?

Povetkins skill is no problem it's his size (6'2") and age (almost 36) that would be problems
