Is it me or do 90% of the PBC fights mean nothing?

Seriously, almost all the PBC fights are like last nights card where there is a clear favorite against a older washed up veteran with a name who realistically has no shot. Or a name vs a straight up bum.
Sure, we get the occasional Porter vs Broner and Mares vs LSC but most of these fights end up as we think and they lead to nothing. What does Thurman beating Collazzo lead to? Garcia beating Paulie? Who cares, we expected those things to happen and it's not like it builds any other fights up with those victories.
I'm happy there is more boxing on tv but most of these cards are just "stay busy" type fights and lead to nothing...

its just you cause 100% of teh pbc figths means absolutely nothing. Not one single fight has elevated a figther status.

He doesn't have the roster to make game changing fights just yet.

It will take more than one fight to get there. Porter beating Broner for example will lead to say Garcia which can lead to Khan/Thurman/Brook which would create a new #1 welterweight.

      Just takes time.

That's not true. I think Porter got a bump from beating Broner. Problem now is he will probably come back and fight someone like guerrero instead of Thurman or Maidana. The matchups just don't make sense

I guess but Thurman beats Guerrro in a cracking fight which elevates him then he comes back and fights Collazzo instead of Porter.. It's like 1 step forward 2 steps back for all his fighters. Look at Wilder for Christ sake..that dude is back to fighting city workers and mailmen.

For the most part the matchmaking sucks. Garcia vs. Paulie was a joke. Paulie hasn't fought in over a year and was coming off a bad knockout loss. As for Jacobs vs. Mora, I guess that's a not bad under card match and it looked like it was gonna be a good one until Mora's ankle snapped.

I agree. Thurman could have at least fought Alexander. Collazo was a bad fight against a fighter who is hard to look good against.

I've been saying the same thing, he has no stars. Broner had a great chance because of his personality but he lost to porter. Stars can only be created by putting talented, hungry fighters against each other but Haymon will continue to setup mismatch after mismatch. Sure he'll put a competitive fight on sometimes but overall the matchmaking is awful and that's not how you build stars.

Porter got no gain from that, everyone pretty much knew he would win at the full weight of 147 but we werent sure at 144 but he did so what nothing to gain by beating broner (broner is another person who doesnt ahve one real win), and like you say he going to end up fighting someone else that a nothing fight.
