Is it me or do 90% of the PBC fights mean nothing?

Nice breakdown of PBC's calendar that I'd largely agree with the value of the fight assessment. Now I'd like to see some breakdowns of TR shows & GBP shows on TV & some HBO cards broke down in a similar way & I bet PBC isn't looking as bad as the "DIE MFER!!!!" "HOPE U GO OUTTA BUSINESS" comments suggest they are doing in comparison.

It never did look bad.

Cotto/canelo can announce they left promoters and signed to PBC and that fight will suddenly become crap to some of these posters.

You can see PBC is trying new things and changing a few of the old. seeing what works and what doesn't.

Make no mistake I'm 100% behind anything that gives me more boxing but maybe the excessive amount of shows on different networks has been the issue? Less telecasts and bigger fights would be a better gameplan IMO.
Thanks to the guy who posted the breakdown of all the fights, I agree mostly on your assessments. I don't judge guys like Spence as meaningful because he's expected to dispatch of the bums he fighting right now.

I guess the main issue I have is guys like Stevenson,Quillen,Wilder, etc having fights that do absolutely nothing for us or them (except get them paid for a cupcake) and wasting that airtime when they could be airing something much more competitive. And Al Haymon controls all these guys and multiple guys in all their divisions so it's not an issue like GGG where nobody wants to fight him right now.

If Thurman doesn't fight Porter or Khan, then what's the point of the Collazzo fight at all. And if Porter takes a step back and fights someone outside the top 5-7 then all his momentum of the Broner win goes away.

Since Haymon and the PBC boxing hasn't been the same, the whole PBC fights have been atrocious, one missmatch after another, catchweights and cherrypicks. Does absolutely nothing for their fighters legacy/hype, they might all get paid well but the fans lose, boxing has NEVER in history been that boring with Haymon and the PBC.

Haymon puts on random shows, collects his 15% and thats it.

No buildup of stars, no build up of fights, all of fhe fights he puts on, seem to come from no where.

I always root for the underdog no matter what. But last night I kept fooling myself there must be some hidden power Malignaggi have yet to unleash that would disorient Garcia eventually. Halfway into the fight, nothing. It's a virtual mismatch. Who am I kidding? I just have to admit that Haymon is about showcasing stars, not stars fighting stars as others have mentioned. The earlier you accept it, the better.

Garcia, khan, porter, and thurman have all emerged. Add in hearn works with PBC we get brook. Pieces are being placed.

Haymon has terrible matchmaking, they thought it would play out differently, they thought they can fool the public and the fans and create something like the UFC and so far they failed miserably mostly due to terrible matchmaking, cherrypicks and total mismatches.

Haymon's stars are not fighting each other, they will keep fighting guys that have zero chance to win, Haymon thinks that showing his A fighters is enough to please the public, that they are in the worst trash fights ever on cable TV and this totally backfired must be bothering him now, but he has no options. If he lets his A fighters fight each other then some of them will lose and he cant call them champs and undefeated anymore.

We could have a ton of awesome fights by now, but Haymon has that strategy to feed the fans with free trash until they cant take it anymore, and after 50 trash cards there is one decent fight and the Haymon arse lickers will wave their pom poms. It's kind of pathetic that people dont even realize how they harm their beloved hobby.
