Say you own a bank and there is a super bank out there that offers interest rates on savings accounts that are so exorbitant that 90% of all citizens put their money in this super bank. How is your bank going to survive with no one lending you their money?

All the other banks pretty much get shut down and this one bank then drops the rates through the floor and jacks up the interest rates on all their credit lines with impunity. They have everyone where they want them, little to no competition to keep them somewhat honest, and you are out of a job.

Still OK with that situation?

Top Rank, Oscar De la Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions and others are, in essence, dinosaurs; the way they seek to do business is heading to be obsolete.

As Haymon and his PBC effort finally kills them off, new promotional outfits will emerge in their wake.

Roc Nation Sports, Greg Cohen Promotions, Canelo Promotions, Egis Klimas Management Group, Cameron Dunkin and others will step into the void and figure out ways to operate.

The days of getting a $3m TV rights fee to put on a **** fight may be over, but smaller outfits can run on smaller margins, build an efficient operation on the narrow margins, and then grow their business as the continue to put on events.

Its not speculation. Its widely known that Haymon pays Dibella, Warriors, etc a FLAT FEE to stage and coordinate PBC events.

I know it probably shocks someone like you, but there are things that go on in the world without your knowledge.

Recall that Haymon used to do tons of business with Golden Boy Promotions, Golden Boy would do all of the legwork for the events, collecting all the revenue, paying out all of the expenses, and then keeping the event fee for themselves.

Al Haymon is basically a sports agent for his boxers, and has guided them away from traditional boxing powerhouses like hbo, and instead is moving boxing back to free network TV... This has old school promoters like Bob arum feeling really threatened as they don't want the status quo to change, hence the lawsuits

Anyone that has anything negative to say about PBC is NOT a fan of the sport, got to be real about that, they have been putting on decent fights since they started and they are not even a year yet. They are probably in the red because of all these fights for boxing fans.

A bank that offers 90% on savings account will go out of business within 2-3 years (Most banks take in deposits, to then loan out that money to individuals, ie cars, homes, credit cards, education, etc. The moment that anyone defaults on those loans, the bank becomes insolvent). Sad attempt at a false example, but that's nothing new.

Rather than charging 20% on a loan, Haymon's "super bank" charges 10% on a loan, happy to take the relative hit on their loan business, but also able to sell the new customers on other accounts with the bank (savings, checking, financial planning, etc).

If you can't compete, you go under; the funny thing about banks though is that, with the landscape changing, smaller banks will be able to get into the mix, build banking business that can operate on the new 10% loan margin, eventually growing into larger banks as they deliver for their customers.

I know thinking is not your thing, but you should give it a try here. What's. pbc plan again?

Look, I get it. You think you know more about this law than those of us who actually operated under it for decades.

Its pointless for you and I to continue debating it, because you already know everything.

And if 3 federal lawsuits, and a letter from the Association of Boxing Commissions to the Attorney General of the United States dont open your mind to the possibility that something is very wrong with Haymons business model, then certainly nothing me or anyone else on a message board can say will get you to open your eyes.

Can't people read on this website? I didn't say he was getting sued cuz he was black, I said let's see if he wins that ridicoulus case against a white ***, there's a big difference, they would've tried to sue him even if he was green cuz they're desperate and he's taking over the sport.
