More like Haymon is the roadblock.

The California State Athletic Commission says that Al Haymon was discovered to be sabotaging rival promoters, namely Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions, a practice they shut down "months ago," according to commissioner John Frierson, who spoke to Boxing Insider's Ivan G. Goldman:

"He was holding up the dates at the Forum and at Staples Center. We took that away. ... "
That was Golovkin's fight in May Al was trying to prevent. I think Lara is as much a non-issue now as Quillin and Jacobs.

The question should really be: Which fighter has the balls to face GGG next?

Lemieux apparently doesnt even though K2/Loeffler contacted the IBF and they would sanction the Lemieux vs GGG fight next.

Oscar thinks differently suddenly and doesn't back up his big words, all the big talk and confidence about facing GGG is gone, now they want to face some unknown mandatory instead and next year they will have another excuse. (probably trying to make that Canelo fight)

Same with Lara, did he ask Daddy Al yet if he is allowed to fight on HBO? Or is he just all talks and doesn't back it up?

Floyd, De la Hoya, Lara, Ward - everyone just trying to get some attention with the GGG talk. GGG is a true champion, he is ready to face ANY challenger. His opponents don't seem to be ready just yet.

And? What does resume have to do with my post? As I said, they both are/were good 154 pound fighters, but not the best in their division and neither had fought at 160 before moving up to fight the best middleweight in the world. If Golovkin knocks out Lara, Lara will go back down to 154 just like Dzinzurik did after he was stopped by Sergio and no one would really care that much because a). no one really knows/cares about Lara and b). people will just say he was too small for the division (just like Dzinzurik was too small). Similar. This is the boxing community you're talking about after all where people literally make excuses over 1 single pound.

Andre Ward...no one else can beat Gennedy Golovkin. Team GGG will duck the gold medalist tho.

Lara has repeatedly proven he's a world class fighter. Dzinzurik didn't really fight anybody till he stepped up to fight Martinez.

I voted for David Lemieux, its a fight that can be made easy by K2 and GBP.

GGG is not going to drop to 154 or go up to 168 for anything other than a PPV fight. Haymon fighters are also not about to be featured on HBO nor will HBO fighters be featured on PBC.

What has to be done so that people get that into their thick, impenetrable skulls? Or are people just too outright ****** AND DENSE to ever understand it?
