Comments Thread For: Wilder Survives Early Scare, Stops Molina In Nine

BIRMINGHAM-- It was everything you could have wanted in a history-making title fight in the state of Alabama. Even if the fans in Alabama were forced to sweat out the scariest moment of their hometown hero's pro career.

Deontay Wilder survived a rocky third round to floor Eric Molina four times en route to a 9th round stoppage Saturday evening at Bartow Arena in Birmingham, Alabama. The bout was the first heavyweight title fight ever in Alabama, providing plenty of thrills of the sold-out crowd of 8,500 on hand for the event. [Click Here To Read More]

Van wilder didn't look that good in this fight. Still a good win though.

Any heavyweight that can avoid Wilder's right hand and have power will have a belt waiting for him

I missed the fight because I'm at work but from what I'm reading it sounds like it was an exciting one.

                  K I need help guys.

I need GIFs of the two times Molina turned and ran for his life before getting knocked down. I need them! Too many people on Twitter talking about how Molina "has heart" when he nearly pulled a Victor Ortiz in a title fight.

Wilder was facing a guy who was only there to survive which is very difficult to KO somebody like that, while he himself was trying to be a perfectionist. That's what happened.
