Hell, Joshua was an amateur world silver medalist before winning his Olympic gold.

Wilder won a bronze at 201, but he isn't on the level of Joshua in amateur achievements. Joshua also took up boxing relatively late. But he is well ahead of Wilder in terms of skill and talent.
