One thing that kept getting Wilder into trouble is that when he backed up he did it in a straight line with his chin up in the air. That could spell disaster when he fights a top tier guy with a long reach. He should tighten up his defense and work on stepping around and turning his opponent. Fortunately, these are things that can be learned in the gym.

Deontay obviously has the power to stop any heavyweight in the world, but fundamental boxing skills are what set up big punches.

Molina has no chin but showed heart in THIS fight. Reminds me on Frank Bruno. No chin but heart. In this fight. Deontay once again proved he has a chin. He will rein for a long time, as Klitschko is old and almost done. He'll outbox Povetkin easily.

ok first man give credit to both fighter they fought hard molina showed great heart and determination and wilder showed he can stay in and **** but that being said povetkin is another human being he has a mean left hook and from what i saw wilder would be in a world of trouble when he steps into the ring IF!he learned from this fight than i give him a big ups in the povetkin but if he chooses to fight like he did tonight he more than likely be laying on his back come fight night

If you saw that fight which I suspect you haven't, Chuck stood on Ali's foot. It is very obvious it wasn't from punches.

Wilder didn't look too good this fight. Maybe he underestimated Molina? He really needs to tighten up that defense. The power is legit, but that won't always bail you out.

Wilder hasn't fought good enough opposition to have learnt to be a world class fighter, but that doesn't mean he can't be.

He will step up now and he'll be learning on the job and we'll see how he goes.

There no grey area on nsb you are either exposed and a bum if you get rocked or hit a couple of times or your the goat because you win a boring super careful defensive UD.

Fighters get hit sometimes hurt even sometimes, doesn't mean you're no good.

Wilder really took some steps backward tonight and at this point it is obvious that Joshua and Wlad would be too much for him. I don't think much of Fury but now I wonder if Wilder would be able to beat him.

Survives early scare? A scare? A fkn scare, r u kidding me? He got hit, he moved bak a bit, stumbled like someone getting hit by a 200+ pound grown man should and he continued fighting. Hardly a scarey moment for Wilder fans or anyone else watching.

Pre Stiverne u all said Wilder had no chin cudnt box had no gas tank etc. Sinse than he's proved he can more than take a HW punch or two, he can sure as hell box well and has a surprisingly accurate and fast jab plus his left hook is coming along which will only compliment his right. And lastly he has plenty gas in the tank as he's been active and strong even in the later rounds. He's work in progress but he's steadily improving which is scary.

I like the rounds of experience he got in today. Every round counts when u get to the championship status.
