The primary revenue will not being from HBO...But yes, HBO should offer a few million for this fight, and I don't see why they wouldn't.

Froch will make 8 figures regardless. I think GGG would be fine with 3 Million which is also reasonable to make this fight a reality.

presumably sky sports would also contribute to the shared purse, right? so if golovkin wants, say, $3m (double what he got against monroe jr), hbo won't have to provide the whole sum.

I don't see HBO offering much more than $4mill for an afternoon fight. That doesn't even cover the costs of renting the stadium, labor, equipment.

Furthermore, stadium fights are overrated. Looking at the numbers from the Daily Mail, ticket sales were 6mill pounds, but it cost over 4mill pounds to stage it there. That's why Vegas is so enticing. MGM pays you a couple million to fight there and they cover all the setup expenses and split ticket sales with you. Just profit baby.

If I'm Froch & Hearn, I request Golovkin & DeGale to fight one another in September and that he'll fight the winner in December for an even bigger event.

20% is what Groves took for the rematch due to purse bids.

GGG is not looking to make a permanent move to SMW at this time. It is ridiculous to expect him to take any other fight at 168. If Froch wants to fight, fine. Make it happen. If not, no big deal. Froch can retire and GGG will get on with his career.

yup but thats only if he truly believes in himself, Kovalev made the same play. took pennies on the dollar to get a Bhop fight now his stock is at a all time high and reeling in them paydays.

If this fight happens I am going with Froch by way of stoppage.

Golovkin has little options for the remainder of the year. Tureano Johnson and Heiland are still his most likely options for September and maybe even December. Lee/Saunders is being delayed til the fall and the winner won't be willing to turn around and fight Golovkin by December. Lemieux should win, but he's young and GB has no need to rush him into a suicide fight with Golovkin and end his run. Cotto/Alvarez will likely have a rematch next year due to the money involved. Lara, Quillin, Jacobs are PBC and not happening.

GGG is 33 and does need some big fights under his belts. Beating Froch would do it. Beating DeGale and then Froch in a built up tournament like event would really do it.
