how much can they plausibly spend on an afternoon fight? golovkin got $1.5m against monroe jr so presumably he'll want at least that again. froch got a $12m guarantee for the groves rematch. if we hazard a guess and say golovkin would ask for double his highest purse and froch half of his, that's $9m. have hbo ever spent that much on a non-ppv fight before? is ggg prepared to take a paycut in order to get froch in the ring, like kovalev did against hopkins?

8-10 mil or Froch isn't going anywhere near this fight, and why would he. He got 12m for KO'ing Groves.
....in front of 80,000 people at Wembley, in case you didn't know.

Froch will take 100% of the UK PPV money for this fight to happen, guaranteed. Will probably take a fair cut of the HBO money also. I'd imagine Froch would expect to take home between $7-10million if he is to fight GGG. Anything less and he could fight you and get the same money.

All-English fights between guys with names tend to be bigger than any Brit vs Outsider fight, except when it's a Pac/Floyd level opponent.
Part of the reason it's hard to see this fight happening. The time difference makes it less valuable for HBO, whereas Sky would be just as happy to make Froch-DeGale.

HBO and GGG's team, are gonna offer Froch, like 12 dollars and when Froch declines they are gonna say he's scared. And then his little fan boys are gonna keep it going that Froch is afraid of GGG, then GGG is gonna go fight another cab driver and ko him and then get on tv and challenge froch again. And you know if you dont accept a fight, no matter the #'s, youre scared, becomes the reason you dont want to fight.

The manager needs to get Golovkin into 1/2 hour of English classes every single day. maybe 1 hour, whatever it takes. I mean, the investment in time and money will repay a hundred fold when they then make a video which can be shown on Sky and HBO.
Something where Golovkin comes across a bit nastier. I'm thinking the transition of Mayweather here - pretty boy to Money. Lets have a transition from nice-guy-next-door to likeable monster - that should work.
"My name is Triple G in case you didn't know - I like Mexican style and I like giving you a show"
Start knockout highlight reel and menacing music.
" hEY YOU!! " (cut to GGG pointing out a glove in direction of camera" ... "Froch!! You ready to put on a show - lets go!!"
Golovkin doing fast hand show and more knockouts " - for added effect Big Ben chimes or similar for every knockout and numbers flashing up showing the last 20 kos in a row.
I can see it now - family sitting on couch - "Dad! Who is that guy? He looks mean!"
Jeez - it ain't that difficult to get some hype going and draw in the casual fans. And if that doesn't work for you - try something else. Make those managers earn their money.
