yes he is and that isn't good. But how hot are you on the Brook - Gavin fight?

Not hot at all but we wouldn't have to compare if Amir Khan didn't turn down £5m to fight Brook at Wembley.

Gavin is stay busy fight for Brook anyway - he's fighting again in July/August against a big name.

Khan doesn't deserve a fight with Mayweather. Everyone saying he is the one to solve the Mayweather puzzle will be the same ones saying how overrated he is... There are plenty of other fighters he should be more concerned about including one in his own country.

So who does deserve a fight with Mayweather? Guys like you conveniently forget that Mayweather needs to fight someone he thinks he can beat and YET will bring in acceptable PPV numbers.

Khan - awkward fight / acceptable PPV
Thurman - awkward fight / bad PPV
Brook - awkward fight / bad PPV
Garcia - easy fight / acceptable PPV
PAC - perceived as very awkward fight / through the roof PPV / legacy enhancer
Cotto now - awkward fight / good PPV / legacy enhancer
GGG - GTFOH / accepable PPV / legacy sealer

So Danny boy it is then. Cotto second choice.

I like Brook and Khan, and not just because I'm English. Who is Brook fighting in July / August? First of all the only name I have heard floated is Brandon Rios. You think that is a big name? Secondly It's June in a few days so there is no time to put together a decent promotion and the other fighter only has an 8 week max training camp. I see Brook coming back in September at best or October (hope I'm wrong). So in that case Gavin is his 'big' summer fight.
It would be great to see Khan fight Brook but as long as there is even a chance he can fight Mayweather he is holding out for the bigger bucks and legacy boost.

Brandon Rios is a name in America, will guarantee an exciting fight and will boost Kell's profile overseas. It's good fight for him. They wanted Marquez but he is injured.

Brook is fighting late August I believe, it's not questionable - he is fighting again this summer. I'm pretty sure they already have a verbal agreement with Rios. Unless he gets some kind of a cut of injury against Gavin. He will fight again this summer in a big fight. That's 3 times this year already coming off a stabbing and maybe another 2 before the year is out.

We'll be hitting Autumn and Khan's only fight will have been Chris Algieri. The only reason he didn't fight Brook is because he was scared of losing.

You've gone on record saying how bad Algieri was as an opponent and there were more credible opponents available (Brook) with bigger pay, more exposure, and a belt on the line but he chose to fight someone coming off a loss, for less pay, less exposure.

He said he was going to stop talking about chasing a fight with Floyd but I have a feeling he thinks he's auditioning for the fight with this one.

Very true statement , and I've always given Kahn the credit he deserves for fighters ALL the toughest guys his whole career , and even tried to avenge his losses . But avoiding Brook and cherry picking Algeri has me a bit baffled . But then again , maybe I can give him a pass as he probably deserves this one cherry .

But as far as an audition goes , it just won't happen as Floyd is looking to most likely coast to a fairly easy victory for his last fight and Kahn definitely ain't it . He'll probably fight an old washed up Marquez for his last fight , or old azz overrated Cotto . But I'd be willing to bet anything that He doesn't fight Kahn as Kahn is way too dangerous for Floyd because he's never lost a fight standing after 12 rounds, (Peterson don't count , it was home town cooking) and I'm not so sure Floyd has that punch in his arsenal that puts Kahn's lights out .

Dirk this is a stay busy fight essentially for a Mayweather bout in September. Was Khan scared of Alexander also last time around when he was close to Mayweather

Brook could have fought Rios on May the Garcia camp said they were ready even then never mind early june. Then he could have fought another top opponent in August. No excuse for Brook either, same with THurman fighting Collazo.
