One cherry? Luis Collazo was one, a guy who has been past prime for about 8 years and a recovering alcoholic. Julio Diaz was one that almost went horribly wrong and he had to go life and death with him, being dropped in the process.
No disrespect to those guys but you can't be fighting those and expect to get a Mayweather fight while avoiding any top fully fledged Welterweight who can punch a little. He shamelessly ducked Kell Brook and took a fight with a light-welterweight who can't crack an egg.
No one in boxing has fought ONLY viable contenders , especially when you've fought 30+ fights . Of course you'll have a couple of tomatoes on your record (as everyone does) as there just isn't enough viable contenders in the sport . But the ones who were out there Kahn has damn near fought them all
What toughest guys? Khan is not top level. every time he steps up he gets beat.
From the American boxing scene ; Barrera , Maidana , Alexander , Judah and Garcia . From the Bolton scene of which I don't follow , I don't really know . He's fought over 30 fights and has only 2 legitimate loses so I really don't understand your marginalization of Kahn ?
khan is the only fighter i know to get vilified for wanting to fight the best .. if guerrero earned a shot i dont see the big deal in khan getting his opportunity
I expect Khan to have a dominant performance, maybe even an early KO win. I may not think khan is as good as some of his fans and countrymen, but he is far superior to algieiri in every way possible.
Broner and Matthysse both folded in their "chance" to earn a Floyd fight, I don't see khan doing same.
Khan doesn't deserve a fight with Mayweather. Everyone saying he is the one to solve the Mayweather puzzle will be the same ones saying how overrated he is... There are plenty of other fighters he should be more concerned about including one in his own country.
