That all sounds nice but it doesn't change the fact that he was right. Fury has never beaten a legit top ten opponent, not a Ring top ten. Chisora exited the Ring's top ten sometime after the part time fighter/actor known as David Haye whooped his a$$. And after Haye broke him it was obvious that the Chisora that fought Fury the first time or the old one armed Vitali wasn't the same one that fought Fury the second time. Wow, just maybe that is why he slipped out of the Ring's top ten?

According to Boxrec, Fury is #3. But strangely Fury never fought any of the other top 10 opponents. Currently the other 8 are: Povetkin, Wilder, Glazkov, Pulev, Thompson, Tarver, Jennings, Stiverne.
Klichko on the other hand fought and beat Povetkin, Pulev and Thompson. And he is scheduled to fight another top-tenner - Jennings. Don't you think that Fury should prove himself before getting that title shot?

At least Wilder beat Stiverne - belt holder and top 10 opponent.

Jennings has never fought any of the current top 10 either. He fought Perez though, who was top 10 but dropped out after Jennings beat him.

Fury fought and beat Chisora, who was top 10 but dropped out after that defeat.

Forget about guys wanting to fight Ring ****zine top 10 to get a title shot, as long as they are ranked high with one governing body they are happy to get in the queue and wait.

He defeated Thompson , Ustinov ,and Alexander Dimitrenko ( all 3 ranked)

Chisora was top 10 before Fury destroyed him. But now of course, according to NSB, Chisora is a bum.

Tarver has no business being ranked in the top 10. Glazkov is garbage, he needed a robbery to defeat Steve Cunningham (who Fury brutally beat up and stopped)

Stiverne is a poor man's Chisora, just because he defeated Chris "I ate all the buffet" Arreola does not make him an elite HW.

Fury was losing on all cards at stoppage, AND the fight should have been ruled a NC, I believe USS was paid off not to pursue the ruling.

The reason USS didn't pursue his complaint about Fury using his forearm in a clinch is because it would have been laughed out of the room. Like clinching itself, pushing with the forearm is technically illegal but accepted as part of the game.

And yes I also believe that he beat the "Nordic Wet Dream" but it was still close and that was what five years ago. And we have all seen how great Helenius turned out to be. The last time I saw him he was struggling to beat some dude named after a paint can.

Can I ask which Helenius knockout were you more impressed with?

Was it the "White Wolf" who tended to get knocked out on a regular basis, or was it the 260 pound fat pig known as Samuel Peter, or was it the half blind Lamont Brewster?

That would be the same Brewster that got dominated the fight before he fought Helenius by a fighter that preceded to go 2-11 after he beat Lamont. As far as the Helenius-Chisora fight was concerned it simply told me that the "Nordic Wet Dream" wasn't as good as advertised.

So as far as the Chisora streak is concerned he could have won ten in a row but guess what? Since he fought Vitali he hasn't beat anyone that was even ranked in the top 20.

Fury didn't stink the place out, he put on a masterclass of boxing that the pissed up casuals couldn't appreciate. Fury did what he had to do to win the fight against USS. Who cares if he was down on the cards? The fight ended up with Steve on the floor not knowing where he was. Fury is still the only man to stop him. So Fury used his size as an advantage? Welcome to boxing.

Cunningham was regarded a top cruiser over six years ago. Adamek who has always been regarded a light puncher dropped the guy three times, Fury needed a forearm lead to drop USS once and ultmately finish him, he blind sided and literally sucker punched him, the referee should have disqualified the large lump.

If that is his best win, bravo I applaud him, because I consider his Chisora 2 win his best win, a boring pitty pat of a show I actually fell asleep watching and had to revisit the next day.

Clinching has nothing to do with leading with the forearm. What are you taking about ?

It would have been ruled a NC had it have been pursued, rewatch the finish on youtube. Duva stated afterwards she intended too but for some unbeknown reason she did not, money talks and bull**** walks.
