Yea, GGG fans are the worst... then you get that B.S

Him fighting a fringe contender at 168 is better than him fighting a fringe contender at 160. He not only gets to test the waters up there for a potential full-time move up in weight but also gets theoretically a more competitive fight. He was willing to go up in weight for Chavez for a single fight, whats the big deal for his stay busy fight in May?

How hard of a concept is that for you little fanboys to grasp? The friggin name is moot

Name is moot until you start ripping for him on fighting bums in the 168 class.

WTF don't you understand about this?

Tureano Johnson is bad, but 168 tureano is good.

How does that not sound fucking ******ed to you? NVM.... they hate is real. Doesn't matter what he does, dude will always be hated, that's cool.

Where the hell did I say a Tureno Johnson type fighter at 168 was "good"?

Its a lousy option as well but better than actual Tureno Johnson at 160. How the hell could you argue against that?

For the record Im a fan of GGG. Im just not a fan of his increasingly delusional fanbase and him chasing belts over better fights.

It's either Golovkin flights a top 10-15 guy now, and then fight again in a bigger fight hopefully a unification just 2-3 months later or not fight at all. Nothing wrong with staying busy and defending the title against the highest ranked guys available. The WBC billed Macklin Vs. Heiland as the next eliminator for the WBC. So it's actually probably better to fight him now before they make Heiland mandatory which they probably will if Cotto doesn't fight Golovkin and gets stripped his title, they'll make GGG vs Heiland for the vacant title.
He's been fighting stay busy fights for a long time if he can't get a top opponent now, what makes you think he would get a top opponent after the may date (not saying it's his fault) people don't view him a financial reward. he should consider fighting down at 54 maybe take boo boo belt.

I don't know how GGG fans could rationalize a fight with Tureano next, ,This fight is garbage and not needed.

It's time K2 let GGG wear his big boy pants and actually face a challenge. honestly if it isn't Cotto, Quillen, Lemiuex or Jacobs in the MW I'm not really interested.

If he needs to go up to 168 or drag a name up from 154 so be it but the time is now to step it up.

Murray wasn't a stay busy fight, he's a quality fighter and top 5 or so.

There just isn't a lot he can do here in May in any weight class. We've already covered all the guys at 168 no one is available not even guys like Abraham or Stieglitz. It just boils down to who is available and who is willing to fight him. If after May he still can't get Cotto, Canelo, Lemieux, Lee, N'dam he might be forced to look for a bigger fight at 168, try again with Chavez or Froch. But he should try to take care of business at 160 first especially considering he's mandatory to Cotto's belt (again if Cotto refuses, according to the WBC he'll be stripped and GGG fights for the vacant title). We'll just have to see but he can't force a big fight in May/June if there is no one to fight. It's just the way the calendar is right now, nothing anyone can do about it unfortunately. He could sit out and fight no one, I don't see how that's better than staying active and getting a pay check.

why are you haters wasting your energy typing that GGG needs to move up, and not spending that energy ridiculing those who are ducking him in his actual weight class?

this is the equivalent of blaming the victim instead of blaming those who are guilty in this situation (those in his weight class who are ranked in the top 5 and are refusing to fight him)

If Lara couldn't beat Canelo, who doesn't have the power and ring cutting off ability of GGG, what makes you think he can beat Golovkin? Even if you think Lara won, it was still a close scrappy fight. I like Lara but I call em like I see em.

I like GGG how am I hating because GGG fighting Tureano is a garbage fight

The MW division sucks monkey balls and is paper thin personally the only 4 names that intrigue me at this point is Cotto, Quillen, Lemiuex and maybe Jacobs if it's none of those then yeah step up in weight and fight a legit name or drag someone up from 154 who can maybe pose a threat . But running through these 40-1 underdogs is getting repetitive and doesn't enhance his career in my opinion.

Don't start with the blaming the victim bs, the world isn't black or white and sometimes the victim needs to get blamed. GGG has options whether or not his team want him to be challenged is one thing but facing the 44th ranked fighter in the division doesn't fall in that category
