Marquez is entitled to his opinion but his reasoning is severely flawed....

One thing has little or nothing to do with the other...

According to his logic Tim Duncan can't be a hall of fame basketball player since he doesn't do 360 degree dunks or throw behind the back passes...

I thought the ease with which Floyd dominated and dropped Marquez while winning damn near every round was pretty exciting to me...

I think you misunderstood the poster's meaning. Hall of Fame & ATG are completely different things. Besides, Boxing, basketball & all other sports are entertainment business. Duncan can bring Spurs to the finals due to his fundamentals & a sure Hall of Famer but he will not remebered an ATG player (like, Jordan, Magic, Bird, Kobe & Lebron) due to his lack of character & inability to create dramas & most importantly, entertainment....

And yet, when all the attention was on Pacquiao in 2009 for knocking out bigger guys than him, people accusing him of use of PED's, he just stopped knocking guys out, and still can't knock C- fighters such as Rios and Algieri.

It makes sense. I'll have to agree with JMM about Floyd's performances. It's all about preference with fans though. I enjoy watching Floyd outbox opponents but I know many fans like the Gatti-Ward type of stuff, or that fighter destroying lesser opposition in 2-3 rounds like GGG.

JMM isn't taking into consideration that Floyd's hand has been shot like for a decade now. When he lands that right hand repeatedly for 6-7 rounds against an opponent, wow'ing the crowd. They like that. Then he breaks his hand and only uses his left. The performance goes downhill from there and he uses his legs more. He still wins but his constantly injured right hand takes away from his performances considerably and this should be taken into account. Floyd will not trade with only one healthy hand.

Just asking, is Floyd right invalid? is there medical records or any documented evidence/s that it no longer works or useful in boxing without that numbing agent?

When all is said and done... Mayweather will not be the most entertaining or most memorable fighter of all time.

Since boxing is partly in the entertainment business, that's a big thing. So no, he's not the best ever.

But in terms of boxing skill, he's certainly great. But this is not the olympics, pro boxing is also about entertainment. Floyd's in-ring game lacks the wow and he lacks memorable fights on his resume. In 20-30 years time, he'll just be another name. Maybe top 30. But that's it.

Even though PAC and JMM fights were controversial,...20-30 years from now...people will be watching these fights on youtube and commenting ..I remember that and they'll be debating who won each of the first 3 fights.

They'll remember the action in Morales-Pac 1. They'll remember PAC coming back from defeats to become champion again.

Number 1. Floyd had the top 3 plus minus in the history of the sport and that will forever speak volumes no matter how much people dont WANT it to.

Number 2. Floyd is NOT scared to take risk. When Floyd fought JMM, who was smaller, he through the first punch from the opening bell. He didnt run around from yo lil azz negroid!!!

He outslicked the hell out of JMM and had ZERO regards for getting hit. He just confident in his abilities. But JMM has been lying ever since he lost to Floyd. He always made it seem like Floyd beat him because he didnt engage. JMM you were gunshy and anytime u did throw a punch, you were countered from all angles. Floyd must have slipped punches from every angle possible in that fight. Did pull counters from all angles, with any hand, and even threw showstopping leaping left hooks. STOP THAT LYIN!!!

Number 3. When Floyd fought a much BIGGER and stronger, young fighter in Canelo, he walked him down with ZERO respect for him or his power. Yall better stop lying like Floyd is some soft little fighter. This dude can box and this dude can get down anyway he needs to, in order to win!!

Tim Duncan is going to go down as one of the 10 greatest players ever. I'd say that's pretty much ATG.
