Besides, this fight will eventually happen, i think that's pretty obvious.

Quillin has not only blatantly ducked Golovkin, he's done that to Korobov too : He got paid by his prmotoer to vacate and step down.

If you think that's not a duck then i don't know wtf to tell you.
I am not saying he is ducking. I laid out what I think HBO is doing and I get it. That said, HBO is marketing him as "the most feared....." so posters are going to view everything he says through that lens. I think the fight happens as well-just after HBO sees if GGG can be the next ppv cross over star.

Come on, we know why the quillin/korobov fight fell through. While I agree with you on GGG, we know the haymon/sean carter beef is what stalled the korobov fight.

At this point, I don't even care what quillin does tbh.

Quillin turned Golovkin down when both were on HBO, when he was a champion, when he wasn't a champion, he's personally made excuses why he doesn't want the fight over and over. He's very obviously and blatantly ducked the fight.

"Golovkin doesn't bring much money to the table"

Then he vacates the title (which was his only leverage btw) and fights Konecny.

Quillin obviously doesn't want to fight GGG and I can't blame him cuz that borat sounding mother****er is terryfying.

I just want him to say it and stop with his ridicoulos statements.

        "I'm a draw"

        No, you're not, Mr.Undercard.

Yes, Quillin is foolish. But IMO GGG was almost as foolish when he tried to "big boy" ward. Is it any surprise that cotto and quillin said same to him?
I don't see what Golovkin, or his team, has said about Ward that is foolish. Why would you try hard to negotiate with a fighter in a contractual dispute with his promoter and who has shown little indication of wanting to fight anyone? Other fighters bring more money to the table right now in Golovkin's actual weight class and without the hassle that Ward brings.

On a side note, one possibility with Ward, that might explain his actions, is that his injury problems are far greater than has ever been acknowledged. Therefore he is using his 'off time' to try and get out of his contract in order to sign with someone else who he thinks is offering something better. If that is true then Ward may not even be in any physical condition to fight anyone.

What is particularly foolish about what Quillin is saying about Golovkin is the factual inaccuracy of it all.

Correction. Ward's side ruled it out for now after their bluff was called. What GGG said about the time not being right came after that.

He isn't saying Ward is ducking him and neither am I. He was just being honest and realistic about the situation. You should try it!

Quillin has ruled himself out of fighting Golovkin by giving up his belt.

Hmm I think it was Ward who said "lets fight" and then Golovkin's team were forced to backtrack. What are you talking about?

I'm not saying either are ducking. I understand GGG not wanting to risk facing Ward yet because the reward doesn't match the risk.

At the same time, what Quillin says about GGG not bringing that much money is also true.

Actually you are saying Golovkin is ducking.

Can you not tell the difference between genuine calls to fight and mere talk? I don't blame Ward for saying he wants to fight people, he needs to keep himself as relevant as possibly during his inactivity but him saying 'lets fight' was hardly a green light to make the fight.

Neither Golovkin nor Ward are ducking each other.

Golovkin doesn't bring much money for Quillin compared to who? Has Quillin been making large purses? No he has not. The guy is living in a fantasy world, he brings almost nothing to the table and yet talks as if Golovkin is the one bringing little.

no one does - without his paper title he's a non-entity. which is why he's a fool to claim that a golovkin fight doesn't make sense for his career. the hard numbers were posted on page one of this thread and unambiguously demonstrate that quillin should consider himself lucky to even be mentioned as a possible golovkin opponent. this isn't a case of them both being up-n-comers like it was back when golovkin's team first offered to fight him; now golovkin is one of the hottest properties in boxing and quillin is nothing. there's only one reason for quillin to pass on golovkin and that's fear.

I see fighters being called "duckers" all the time and I dissagree in most cases but this guy right here.....He is the definition of a ducker!!!!
