Saul "Canelo" Alvarez (44-1-1, 31KOs) has issued a warning to Floyd Mayweather Jr. (47-0, 26KOs) - that he plans to go forward with HBO fights on May 2nd and September 15th - and has no intention of stepping aside to allow Mayweather to put on shows.

Mayweather traditionally fights on the May and September dates. Canelo, tired of taking a backseat to Mayweather on the dates, left Showtime and jumped over to HBO to get first priority treatment. Mayweather has an exclusive contract with Showtime.

This is no longer between Alvares and Mayweather. This is between HBO and Showtime. If Canelo is being backed by HBO, then it remains to be seen if Showtime will do the same.

i just love to see may/khan go against cotto/canelo...lets see if Floyd sells like he always claims that's it's him who sells,thats why Floyd fights on those dates because of the Mexican fans,always saying he loves mexico and what not,well if a Mexican like canelo is fighting on that date i'm sure Floyd will just have to move because showtime will not want to compete against canelo/cotto,floyds ppv will take a big hit and so what if he's got his 30 plus million guaranteed,showtime will not want to lose money like they are already,barely breaking even is what I hear
