lol this is so funny.... the entire universe knows, not just the world but even other planets know that cotto-canelo is the biggest fight besides mayweather pacquiao, yet there are still a small handful of duckweather fans who are thinking delusionally that duckweather can fight anybody and do better than anyone else head to head. Cotto canelo would do at least twice what duckweather/khan/Garcia would do. Canelo/pacquiao would do twice that as well. Pac/marquez would do twice those. There are many fights that would beat mayweathers fights. Mayweather is not some god that the laws of physics doesn't apply to. Him and Pacquiao are almost equal popularity here in the states and Pacquiao is much more popular overall in the world. If he doesn't fight Pacquiao, lets face it he is done and pacquiao will once again reclaim the number 1 ppv. All this really doesn't matter though because the most important thing for the sport of boxing is duckweather needs to step up and face Pacquiao because boxing will lose interest with the fans because of the ducking by not just him but Al haymon fighters in general.

The undisputed truth of the matter is that Mayweather needs a big name in order to crack 1 million ppv buys. He proved that by his lackluster numbers vs maidana 2 times and Robert Guerrero. Khan is a pretty big name in England but not as big here in the states. Would probably do a bout a million if he didn't go head to head with canelo cotto, probably 250k going head to head with them while canelo cotto would do close to 2 mill. The Mexican and peurto rican fanbase in America is huge. Mayweather does his best numbers when facing Mexicans and peurto Ricans. Now imagine the number on peurto rican vs the number 1 Mexican. Everyone and their babysitter will be buying that fight including you *****s when ***** baggins gets booted off that date. Duckweather is like a little kid throwing stones up at a bulldozer in this situation. He does have all the power though he simply needs to learn testicular fortitude and face his demon pacman but I foresee him being a b*t*h yet again so therefore and to it the world will be purchasing cotto canelo on cinco de mayonnaise

No PPV distributor is going to pick a Canelo PPV event over a Mayweather PPV event, regardless of who Canelo fights.

All of this false bravado, and the foolish rhetoric from the folks on this site (who likely never actually pay for the PPVs to begin with) will result in Alvarez ending up left with taking $1.5m to have the fight aired on regular HBO.

Mayweather is finished if he ducks pacquiao again especially after the foot locker commercial. The whole world will know that he isn't a true champion. Pacquiao is younger and in better shape than Mayweather so expect pacman to be ppv king for the next few years as long as arum can find him some decent opposition due to the fact Al Haymon has a lot of big names that he won't let fight top rank fighters. He'd rather match up his world champions against the rod salkas of the world instead of the pacquiaos and the bradleys.
