He feels secure in the loving arms of his father Haymon. Why wouldn't he turn it down? He's making money fighting nobodies under Haymon's management. He knows signing with Roc Nation would entail fighting dangerous fights.

They don't have boxers. They are unknown and unproven except for one death-knell of an issue; Haymon and Roc Nation clearly have some beef with each other.

Thurman cannot afford to piss off the most powerful man in boxing if he wants to get fights at welterweight or junior middleweight. Haymon would be perfectly happy to **** this up for him, guaranteed.
