if GGG goes 154 and doesnt get MW right away he shouldnt do it , because Floyd will retire until you guys feel GGG proved a worthy 154 .... (takes few years you know...).
also look at Bhop taking INSANE challange vs Kovalev , things like that do happen , but not in MW land.... the 0 is the most important thing....
he couldve fought Manny 2 times already (and he had good chances to win those fights...) but he wont risk the 0 .
Ali is the greatest ever , and he has loses.
Flyod should man up and take a mega fight.... its been sooooo long since we had a MEGA fight , i miss those days , for a MEGA fight we need the #1 fighter taking a big challange (or just pac will do as well).
It would be no different than Prince Nazeem or Pernell Whitaker coming up to 160 to fight the prime Roy Jones jr in 1993.
Just a crazy move either way you slice it.
If he did it, well sure it would be good for the sport, if not you can't blame him or call him a duck for it.

The fight will never happen because GGG cant make 154.
Thats the real reason.
If he could make it he would have challenged Canelo at JMW already!

Golovkin too big for little Floyd
GGG is too large for Floyd and will be avoided. GGG needs to beat on Cotto first Canelo, then Ward. Collecting belts from 154, 160 and 168lbs. If Canelo has a 154lb belt by then. Floyd too smart to risk a loss to GGG.

Sugar Ray fought Hearns in his prime!
Sugar Ray fought Duran twice when Duran was what 29?
Sugar Ray fought Hagler when he was 32 and well-rested for the fight...
Floyd did what that compares with either one of those?...
The fact that you are even comparing Sugar Ray's resume to Floyd's shows that you're a secret Floyd-worshiper in denial...
Floyd beat Marquez moving up two weight divisions..Floyd didn't make the contracted weight... should have been a no contest..
Floyd beat Oscar by Split decision... when Oscar was past his prime...
Floyd beat a 39 year old Mosley...
Those are his 3 biggest names...

Jr needs at least one great fighter under his belt in the past 12 years. HE has either fought OLD champs that can't hurt nobody, or Little Champs , or one wee little champ then cheated the weight on him, or weight drained a bigger younger champ that didn't have the right game plan.
What JR needs is to grow some ##### and Face GGG at 160. HE can come in at any weight he wants, do this for legacy and show the public he ain't a sissy hiding behind leftovers and cherry picks. He needs to prove he ain't the main fraud in boxing. It will be his move for May to counter Cotto Canelo. Jr can gain the MW title ! JR the great will go down in boxing HISTORY !!!!!!!!
as the one who was carried out on the stretcher sucking his thumb !!

I mean, it'd be great if he did...
Maybe if GGG has been campaigning at 154, where Floyd holds a belt; to my knowledge, GGG has fought at 160 his entire professional career.
I think if GGG could comfortably make 154, he would be campaigning there.
I do think GGG could make 154, but not very comfortably. He's probably about the same size as Canelo naturally - and Canelo struggles to make 154.
I also don't think GGG should have to go to 168 and fight Ward in his first fight at that weight. So GGG isn't ducking Ward, and Floyd's not ducking GGG.

LOL... way to go Ring ****zine... Ring ****zine is obsessed with not losing fights... if you see the rankings always inflate undefeated guys even if they fight nobodies...
Floyd isn't undefeated... he lost to Castillo the first fight clearly.. Ring ****zine should have did what it did with Pac-Bradley with Floyd-Castillo js...
Its not that Ring inflates undefeated records, its that you downgrade every fighter Floyd defeated while never doing the same for others. again, that is your choice but not everyone is going to do that.
as for this thread-Floyd will likely not fight GGG, just not for the reasons you listed.
