        golovkin made the crucial mistake of not being born in puerto rico...

        How big would andre ward be if he was mexican..i wonder..

        In boxing you gotta be mexican or puerto rican.. Anything else and you have to do something extra to get the big fights.

                    If this fight was in England, Germany or Australia I can see a lot more people attending.
                    Like people are saying in NY the public goes mostly to Miguel Cotto fights.

                    It's also crazy how a lot of people on this board seem to be happy with low ticket sales. What kind of boxing fans are these? Are they even boxing fans. If you consider yourself a boxing fan and never been to a boxing show, I don't think you're a boxing fan.

                      That's what they say but if it were really true then the arena probably would have been close to selling out. Geale vs Golovkin and Jennings vs Perez are great fights on paper and should have attracted plenty of people from the New York tri-state area. This is a big night for boxing and I think that if they were truly fans of the sport then it would sell out without a problem.
