Posters are saying I have an ulterior motive. I don't. I'm not promoting the fight.

It will 99% end up being a **** fight. Algeiri will run and Pacquiao will probably struggle to find him. It doesn't have any credibility to it other than a stay-busy fight. That is my honest opinion.

But will I watch it? Hell yeah I will. Do I think Algeiri could be all wrong for Manny? Hell yeah I do.

      Bad fight for styles.

But regardless of what people say about Manny 'fading' he still has all the experience, power and skills to put Algeiri away.

Which ever way you cut it up - it is a HUGE step up for Algeiri in terms of the level of opponent and sheer scale of the event.

As long as Manny takes the fight seriously he should win comfortably.

But most are right when they say it is a lose / lose type of fight.

Sad way to end a career.

The shamelessness of many, but not all, of Manny's fans is on full display. If ALgieiri were fighting danny garcia, floyd or Broner next there would be no "style analysis" and all the other BS things manny fans have done since this fight was in the making. His length and height and blah. blah, blah wouldn't be discussed, let alone a factor in the fight. It would be all about who he fought prior and that he never fought at 147. There also would be endless talk of his coming in as a 14-1 underdog.

Sure would be nice to see posters analyze fighters and fights with the same microscope.

I don't have a problem with the fight to be honest, Pac deserves an easy fight every now and again.

Just don't try to convince me that a guy making his debut at welter weight is going to be a threat to one of the world's top two fighters in that division, doesn't make sense! The only concern Pac will have is not wining impressivley.....

Algeiri is pretty much unknonw first fight at welter weight it doesn't make sense to expecty him to be a threat to one of top two WW's in the world in his first fight at that weight.
          Amen.

Not to mention that Algieri only has 8 KOs in his first 20 fights, so it's not like Pac has to treat him like he's BamBam after JMM 4. I have no beef with Algieri, but it's not like he's Bradley or JMM (at this point). Algieri beat Provodnikov because Provo was just taking too damn long to get set. Even if Pac isn't brilliant against movers do you think that's an apples to apples comparison? Pac might be on the decline, but if he is to ever get another KO it will be against this guy.

It will almost certainly be an uneventful fight that Pac doesn't look that good during.

Serious question, not trying to start anything...

If Pac fans are so worried about Algeri and his boxing why do they think he'd beat Floyd so easy?

On another note, another poster stating how both Floyd and Pac taking risky fights. Isn't that what boxers (especially as seldom as they fight now a days) are suppose to do. Boxing could be such a hugely popular sport if these guys would start fighting one another.

Haven't been paying much attention to this. I didn't see the Provo-Algieri fight and I only saw an interview with Algieri watching the HBO telecast from last weekend.

Algieri looked very familiar - was the fight before Provodnikov an ESPN FNF fight? This is guy that Pacquaio is facing? He's gonna get annihilated

I think it's a pretty crap fight, and a pretty bad mismatch. It may look a lot like the Clottey fight, with a (currently) less capable Clottey. Pac isn't what he was in 2010, but I think Pac could end up looking pretty good. Like I said, I wouldn't bet on a Pac KO, but if he is to get a KO it should be against this guy. Provo was hitting and hurting him, he just really couldn't deal with the movement. Pac might not like the movement, but there's not a doubt in my mind that he'll deal with it far better than Provodnikov.

u mean like how floyd vs maidana was such a close fight thats why theres a rematch?? but after the first fight when everyone was crying robbery, the floyd fans was saying floyd beat maidana and it wasnt no robbery.

and if manny would have fought ruslan or another come foward fighter, dunn would be on here saying manny is avoiding fighters with movements, etc. see the pac vs rios example when pac chose rios over mike.
