Chris Algeiri has the makings of becoming a star in boxing if he beats Pacquiao. He's charming, good-looking, articulate and could be very easy sell to the public plus he's from the East Coast, so that has to help in terms of fans of the sport. Mayweather/Algeiri at the Barclays Center would be hype if Algieri defeats Pacquiao.

I doubt you would find a poster who has defended Pacquiao like I have over the past few years.
With that said, enough is enough and I'm done with this guy.
What a joke of a fight and it would serve him well if he lost this fight.
With all the top names at 140 and 147....he is facing Algeria? Bob Arum is making a mockery of the sport.

Good points. My problem with this fight (other than Algeri's lack of credentials and experience) is that it's going to be stinky.
98% of boxers struggle with movers but Manny especially ain't good at doing it. He resorts to lunging in off balance and it takes snap off his punches. Chris is very athletic and will keep moving all 12 rounds (and it will go 12).
It's just not going to be entertaining. And if a fight isn't entertaining, it at least has to be credible. This is neither.

Pac proved that he could deal with a good boxer when he beat Bradley in their rematch...the same Bradley that outboxed JMM. Folks should just call it what it is, a low risk stay busy fight for Pac until something better presents itself. I don't have a problem with the fight to be honest, Pac deserves an easy fight every now and again.
Just don't try to convince me that a guy making his debut at welter weight is going to be a threat to one of the world's top two fighters in that division, doesn't make sense! The only concern Pac will have is not wining impressivley.....
Algeiri is pretty much unknonw first fight at welter weight it doesn't make sense to expecty him to be a threat to one of top two WW's in the world in his first fight at that weight.

How do I get some of that?
Expect a lot of "I got Chris on this one" with no betting slip posted to prove it.
The only people defending this work for Top Rank.

I don't know who will win but I know the agenda of the people ****ting on the fight, pretending Chris Algieri is Rod Salka.
