He is going to fight a washed up Kirkland then Cotto when he is a year older. That is a way of ducking, why not fight Cotto 1st while he is more into his prime? And u said Canelo ducks no one.

I'll watch it. It'll be a great fight for as long as Kirkland can survive. Which, I believe will be maybe 5 or 6 rounds.

As for Cotto Canelo. I agree it should happen now rather than later. My only fear is Canelo will be at 180 on the night of the fight if he fights Cotto. While Cotto will be at 156 fight night.

He wants to steal cinco de mayo weekend from Floyd with a big blockbuster fight against cotto. Floyd being the money genius he is, will give a rematch to cotto scheduled for may, leaving canelo without an opponent and making a huge payday himself. He should offer cotto the fight for November of this year.

I could see something like this being the case. I guess it depends on Cotto and what he is going to want, and I am sure he wants revenge. Cotto's team has said they beat Floyd with Roach in his corner.

Yo, Canelo is making me a fan, straight up. I didn't respect him because I didn't believe in his opposition on his rise to fame.

Gotta respect this dude now for being willing to take on all comers. Canelo Kirkland is a must see TV. I would geek out over this because the styles will make for a great match up.

I will say that this is a wise choice because Canelo is seemingly going through a gradual transition to the MW division. I'm not sure Kirkland is able to still make 154 comfortably so they can probably do something like a 156-157 catchweight

Kirkland and Canelo would sell big. I would go with Canelo but wouldn't put it against Kirkland to put up a good fight, as long as he doesn't suffer that stiff straight in the early rounds. Canelo is young and looks to continue to improve.
