    37. 38 early next year.

You have to consider he turned pro at aged 19 or 20 aswell.

Hopkins didn't win his first title until he was 29. He was still considered "Green" at age 29.

At 29, Floyd has a 4 weight Champion.

What Hopkins has done at his age is incredible no doubt but there's no way he'd be where he is today if he'd been fighting at the Championship level from the age of 19 as opposed to 29.

Late starter always go on longer in advanced age. There's a reason his prime was at age 36.

what does it matter at what age a fighter started? at age 23 Pac was a 3 weight champion and had started professionally boxing at 16. Floyd was still crying over his daddy at 16. So what's the point exactly?

Well Pacquaio and Floyd are around the same age and have been fighting at the top level for around the same amount of time and both will likely retire around the same time and at are similar stages of their careers.

Hopkins however was 29 when he won his first title.

So my point is that's the difference when comparing the longevity of the two.

Hopkins is much older than both Floyd and Pacquaio but he hasn't been fighting at the top level too much longer than either of them.

Hopefully Sergy Kovalez knocks the stuffing out of BHop. More than likely that wont happen. If BHop is in danger of getting knocked out he will get himself disqualified and then cry foul.

For Kovalev to be successful in this fight, he needs to make BHop pay when BHop head butts, hold behind the neck and pushes down and all the other nonsense he pulls.

I have to say I see a Bhop KO in this fight. Kov has faced no one yet who could match Hopkins in any department: speed, power, boxing skill, experience, ring generalship, chin. Hopkins beats the brakes off of this dude, stops him late but I could see early knockdowns of Kov. If they let him develop a couple more years..... maybe so. Kov is good and hits hard but not ready, not even close.

If bhop is on his game he beats kovalev, if he makes mistakes he might get knocked down and have to launch a pascal
                Like comeback

I'm not worried at all. Bernard is going for a stronger aura of immortality at this point and his mind is sharp.

Kovalev's overrated. He will drown in deep waters. What good is power if you can't put it to good use?

The furthest Kovalev has gone in his career is eight rounds...and that was a split decision. Just you all watch. Kovalev is going to look like a deer in headlights and as he's up there in the ring thinking, "How is this old geezer beating me so easily?"

I'm not shook in the slightest.

                  Hopkins' got this.

EDIT: I just took a look at the poll. This forum disgusts me. LOL

Floyd has been fighting tough world level opponents consistently since 97/98. That was 1-2 years into his pro career - and he's been champion ever since.

Hopkins didn't fight consistent world level opposition before 10 years into his pro career. Of course you're getting some longevity out of that. Floyd was just a baby fighting grown men who were world champions - and you dismiss that? come on man, you're better than that.

Is hop gonna pull a Mayweather and make Kovalev wear different gloves? If not I can see Hop getting hurt to the body as he tries to slide out from being trapped on the ropes. His reflexes ain't what they used to be. He might flash kd Kovalev with one of those hard to time sneaky rights, but the hurting will be done by Krusher.
