The torch will be passed November 8th.

Sergey Kovalev has improved tremendously as a fighter in the last five years and will continue to do so.

Bernard Hopkins will be remembered well, and Kovalev will go on to defend the belts for a long time as a worthy heir to the boxing legends.

Kovalev by TKO/KO unless B-Hop gets dq with all the mugging he's gonna have to do.

It's a high-wire act for B-Hop. Kovalev has a tendency to step in with his hands down so he will be open for those lead right counters. But if he does get B-Hop in trouble, he's liable to finish the job even with the vast experience Hopkins has.

Kovalev really needs to have his shit together on the inside. He can feel confident at range, but it's in that inside wrestling match where Hopkins could steal the fight away.

            "The brother," he said.

By "brother" he means black guy.

            I think he's right.

If you're not black, black fighters are tough to handle. Of course black fighters beat black fighters.

For example, Paulie Malignaggi vs Shawn Porter; Fernando Vargas vs Felix Trinidad; Oscar De La Hoya vs Shane Mosley etc.

Note that neither Marcos Maidana nor Lucas Matthysse could knock out any top black fighter -- i.e., Devon Alexander, Floyd Mayweather, Chop Chop Corely, Adrien Broner.

Just look at James Toney, a former middleweight who took bombs from a hard-punching heavyweight and didn't go anywhere.

Notice how when Kovalev fought a black fighter it took him longer to get the KO? That is, Darnell Boone first fight and Cedric Agnew.

There's something about black fighters that makes them inherently physically tougher, stronger, faster, more fast twitch. I totally understand why some posters on NSB and members of the YTBC point out that Mayweather doesn't fight black fighters. Devon Alexander knows what's up.

Take a look at Muhammad Ali... During his last fights, he clearly had the early stages of Parkinson's disease and yet he still didn't get knocked out. Truly amazing yet also very, very tragic.
I think Hopkins agrees with your nonsense which is why this fight is happening. There is a tremendous ego thing with black fighters that it is a massively shameful experience to lose to a white fighter. I think that is a common thread they tend to share. Hopkins proved that to a T when he said, "I'll never lose to a white boy." when he fought Calzaghe. It's like he couldn't live with himself if that happened against a Caucasian. Very interesting dynamic. Can anyone explain the rationale behind it?

Agnew is a Southpaw...That's why it took Kovalev a bit more time than usual to put him out....I don't know how many southpaws Kovalev has fought in his career but it's probably not that many...

This is just a pure "race decision" fight....All/most of the Whites are going for Kovalev and the same for Blacks and Hopkins....Pretty sad really from both sides, but it's whatever.

I think Hopkins will win unless his age has caught up to him.....No way in hell is a prime or even sub prime Hopkins loosing to someone like Kovalev...We are talking about an All time great fighter compared to a above average/good fighter...What is so special about Kovalev other than that he KO'ed a bunch of bums and sub par fighters? His resume is **** compared to Hopkins resume...

People whine about hyped up and up and coming guys like Anthony Joshua not fighting the best when they have like 8 fights, yet 30 year old+ Kovalev and GGG fight can after can and no one says anything....Such a double standard...

What ever makes you sleep at night man....

Also claiming Felix Trindad as a "brother." Nah he's a Hispanic (I bet if you asked him he would identify as a Hispanic) you can't really claim him....Unless you also consider Sammy Sosa, El Duque, and David Ortiz "brothers"..

Hopkins knows how to not get knocked out. If Kovalev hurts him, he'll pretend to have been fouled and Kovalev will lose by DQ.

Place your bets on Bernard Hopkins and make some money.

Golden Boy Promotions will do whatever they need to do to make sure the old ex-convict doesn't lose.

Let's not forget, B-Hop is a part owner of Golden Boy. All four officials including referee David Fields are from the same part of the country as B-Hop.

The key is referee David Fields. If he lets B-Hop use his head butts and goes along with his head games and pretending to be fouled, Hopkins will win (either because of a cut to Kovalev caused by a deliberate head butt, or by DQ after Bernard pretends to be fouled).
if so, why did you vote for kovalev via ko?

Have you seen Maidana vs. Broner, Tszyu vs. Judah or Taylor's fights against any white dude? Oh wait.. Maidana is also black. Like Trinidad, right? LMFAO! Trinidad is more arian than negro. Same as Ward. He's white too.
