but go ahead and stick with your eye tests and fantasy fight thinking....just good you're not in charge of any official p4p lists.....
The Bradley fight doesn't impress me. Bradley is a good fighter who was never anything special. He lost to Manny the first time and arguably lost to Ruslan as well. I haven't been impressed by Bradley since he looked horrible in beating Alexander.

As far as text book boxing goes, those guys including Hopkins are very great at what they do.

The number of fights doesn't mean **** because when you look at these guys with 25,35,45 fights, its usually because they were bought up slower than Rigo was. Out of those 25-35 fights, 8 or 9 of them are usually against legitimate world class competition.
Winning a title in so little fights and having only one fight against one good fighter simply is not enough to be in the conversation yet and anyone putting him in there at this stage is obviously just a fan overrating the man.

Yes, he passes the eye test and his amateur record is one of the best ever but this is the pros and it's not just about what you might do or can do it's about what you have proven and so farm he is still unproven.

        Simple as that.

You're welcome. Funny how people act like Donaire was some bum. Ask Montiel what he thinks...

But that's the thing, he clearly beat undefeated Alexander unlike Floyd's next opponent who lost every round to him. Ortiz couldn't even manage a top 10 win at 140 when Bradley was routing top 10 contenders left and right.

Fact is, Bradley is at least as good as Rigo's only quality win, and better than anyone Ward has faced.

How can a lineal champion be unproven? What the **** is the goal of a professional boxer other than be the world champion in his division?

He didn't win just a "title" in so little fights. He won "THE TITLE". He's one of six REAL champions in the sport right now. **** all of those other paper titlists parading around as champions.

Unproven refers to guys like Gary Russell Jr. who has looked spectacular but has yet to step up. Not to world champion fighters who have wins over pound for pound ranked opponents.

great post..rigo gets crapped on because he wins. when have you ever seen a fighter at 122 that skilled. rigo has 4 gold medals and unlike lomo he has won the big fights.

rigo is my number 3 right now p4p based on his skill set and the amaziong fact he has done so much with so little fights. rigo didn't need the hype he needs to leave top rank and get with al haymon.

well baldomir was lineal champion and i guess you could say he was proven...proven to be shi-tty. in the era of ducks and frauds even being lineal champ can be manipulated.

It has nothing to do with manipulation he was in the right place at the right time. Mayorga upset Forrest, Spinks outboxed Mayorga, Judah beat Spinks and Baldo beat Judah.

It is what it is. He wasn't a great fighter but he was a legit champion and it was a good accomplishment for him. He just gets hate because Floyd fought him instead of Margarito.
