There is nothing overrated about Donaire. Revisionist history at its finest.

He was top 5 on every credible pound for pound list, was a multi-division champion, won fighter of the year in 2012, had wins over pound for pound ranked opponents and had significant size and strength advantages at that weight. Donaire earned his hype. He fought the guys he was supposed to until he finally took an L.

And that's because guys that fight the best in their division time and time again eventually take L's.

He looked shot in that fight unable to pull the trigger when the time arose. Fighters get old in between fights, not during them.

because with just eye tests and fantasy fight thinking then you could justify broner being top ten p4p right or canelo? eventhough they have and had no business being top ten p4p
I said best fighters, I didn't mention anything about resumes. What a fighter did 5 years ago has no bearing on whether or not said fighter is the best right now.

Manny beat Tim bradley who was #3 p4p, rigo beat donaire with only 11 fights, both of these guys should be p4p 2 and 3 respectively. Jokeland never beat anyone as good.
Are you seriously trying to make a case that Rigo should be ranked higher than Ward? Tell us that's not true and save the red K I have warmed up for you.

It's not just about the number, it's about the substance behind the number.

Ward's title fight wins take a huge steamer on GR's whole resume.

This an epic sig quote bro. Thanks for that!!!!

If Manny struggled his whole career against the counter punching style of Marquez, I can only imagine how bad he would struggle with a guy like Rigo. Rigo is much faster, with better reflexes, and much superior defense compared to Marquez. Manny has never fought a guy like Rigo either.

donaire ranked p4p#5 and is possibly close to being considered hof, prime....

agbeko wasn't even considered the top guy anymore at 118.....rios was meh too...both guys are former world champs...at least with rios he was younger, in his prime and with only one loss (at least on paper because i thought he lost against abril)..and both guys put on mediocre perfomances
the thing is bradley is a recycled fight (pac already beat him) & provo clearly beat bradley in my opinion (clearly) due to the dumb ref and politics provo just didn't get the win. rios was coming off a LOSS (do you understand that) a LOSS at 140 before fighting pac...........agbeko was a better win then rios. and at the time donaire was a better win then bradley (at this current time) donaire hadn't lost in over a decade & had fought countless world champs. bradley really lost it against provo. & again, it was a recycled fight.

Yeah but that's not what he said. He implied that Rigo being ranked is ludicrous with only 13 fights. Unifying the division, becoming the lineal champion and beating a top 5 p4p fighter is pretty damn good for a guy with 40 fights, let alone 13.

The number of fights doesn't mean **** because when you look at these guys with 25,35,45 fights, its usually because they were bought up slower than Rigo was. Out of those 25-35 fights, 8 or 9 of them are usually against legitimate world class competition.

Rigo started fighting world class competition 6 fights in. Everything since has been a title defenses and unifications.
