It's strange the way some fans have come to defend ducking (when it suits them ... which is general a race thing) by returning to the old ... 'it's business' argument ... the only reason it's business is because these 'some fans' support ducking.

The reason people like haymon get away with this is that same group of 'some fans' are happy to support fighters who duck ... happy to pay to see them duck ... happy to support and argue in favor of them ducking ... if these fans simply didn't buy and support fighters for ducking ... we wouldn't have the ducking. It's as simple as that.

The problem with boxing today is not actually haymon and his ilk, it's this group of 'some fans' who support ducking with 'it's just business' arguments. (it wouldn't be business if people didn't support ducking) Haymon merely sees what works financially (ducking) and takes advantage. The result is, the rest of us (fans who actually want to see the best fight the best) get screwed out of the fights we want to see.

Stevenson, Mayweather, Andre Dirrell, Broner are giving us brothers a bad name. straight punk @ssed *****es, ducking fights all the time, taking the easy road and not fighting their main competitors.

        Disgraceful.
You think they fight to please boxing fans like yourself? of course they will want to make as much money as possible you deluded fool.

When slick fighters get hit it's because "they just wanted to put on a show for their fans". Be real.. you were one of those who say that.

            You're the deluded one...
But who's paying for these fights? It's entertainment business -- therefore real people pay for real entertainment... No real entertainment, no money paid whatsoever... That's why entertainment enterprises get bankrupt all the time...

            This is kinder-garden thinking level.

You have to blame this on Adonis and Al. HBO wanted to make the fight -- they were building it up and the reason they didn't match the offer was because Adonis wouldn't agree to fight K as part of the deal.

They fight for pay, and some fight for glory too and to prove themselves. We the fans line the fighter pockets, so gimps like you with your "bisnis" acumen are enabling crafty scumbag promoters swerve putting together the best fights.

im a fan of boxing but im also a reasonable person. who is going to leave millions of dollars on the table? i wouldnt and im not a hypocrite so i cant expect him to. i dont see you putting up the money to balance out the difference.

im a fan, but i dont expect boxers to give a **** about what i want, why? because of you. one second you are calling fighters punk ass *****es, the next second you want them to pass up on millions to make YOU happy. really, dude? its unreasonable.

this is their careers, they have the right to do as they please. if they dont make the meaningful fights it will effect their legacy, but thats their choice to make. you dont call the shots, dude. if you want to, go fetch the watson twins their coffee and in a few years perhaps you will work yourself up to where your opinion means something. lol.

to wrap up this masterpiece of a post i will point out that even if we ignore the money kovalev still isnt the best fight for stevenson. kovalev hasnt earned it, fool hasnt fought a single top 5 light heavyweight and he wants to leapfrog all the legit contenders and fight the top dog? bull****.

beating campillo, cleverly and sillakh doesnt compare to what pascal, dawson, hopkins etc have done. yes they have lost, but thats because they fought the best. they fought at A level, kovalev hasnt.

its funny that people act as if stevenson not fighting kovalev is whats wrong with boxing when its the exact opposite. fighters being hyped up and handed opportunities they havent earned is whats wrong with boxing, this pampered kovalev dude makes amir khan look like marvin hagler.

he is the punk ass ***** for ducking all the guys ahead of him for a stevenson shot, why does he do it? so HE can cash in before he gets exposed. if he thought he could earn the shot i he would have, instead he is trying to talk his way into a fight he doesnt deserve, just like his stablemate stevens did with GGG. diffrence is GGG didnt have a lot of options, stevenson does so kovalev can eat a d!ck.

Yes, but thats what Al Haymon is about, somehow he manages to get these guys EQUAL or sometimes MORE pay for fighting lesser competition.

It is weird, but thats how the Haymon train runs.
