whatever pal! i hope you enjoy watching what fighters spend their money on ey!!! its just all about the money with you, real fans demand the best fights. dont see you doing that.

also, you completely contradict yourself. mayweather vs pacman - pacman should just take the **** offer.

Stevenson vs kovalev - stevenson shouldnt fight kovalev, go get the money at showtime!!

Secondly why is Kovalv this big bad boogeyman after beating nobodies and eurobums, do yall so called boxing fans know what hype jobs is

Lastly Stevenson should get no shade whatsoever, being that BHOP is the more proven fighter, the better fighter, and Stevenson's biggest available pay day............

Yall need to chill and cut the hyperbole out
Actually the best course of action is to fight Kovalev AND Hopkins. To dismiss Kovalev as you have is as short sighted as calling him elite.

When you and the other so called real fans have attended and watched as many fights as I have for as long as I have then I will take your opinion with more than a grain of salt.

What sucks about this is the simple fact that big fights will generally involve protracted negotiations, and that opens the door for opportunism on the part of other agents. There was a great chance that this Kovalev-Stevenson fight was going to come together for later this year, but obviously it's such a big deal for both fighters that it was going to take some work to make that happen.

What we've just seen is Haymon and Showtime take advantage of that situation and undermine the possibility of one of the most eagerly anticipated match-ups in the sport actually happening. In fact, it's possible that we might never see this fight now.

I'm fine with people calling for recognition of the economic realities of the sport, but there has to be a balance as well. There will always be an excuse for a top fighter not to face another top fighter. There will always be the option of claiming that the 'money wasn't right'. Sometimes the excuses may be real, and sometimes they are bullshit. This is about as blatant a case of bullshit as you could hope to see.

There are no winners here. It doesnt matter if HBO is as slimy as Showtime. The sport is suffering and because fanboys have to defend their turf, they help things circle the drain faster.
You are right, the blind loyalty of some fans to fighters, networks and promoters is pathetic. Especially when all they care about is how much money they can make off us. They are not concerned about bringing us the best fights. One network snatches fighters from another network. Promoters snatch fighters from each other. Fighters are going where they can make the most money with the least risk. Then they all decide who they will or will not work with, which severely limits the volume of potentially great fights. It's a dangerous, dirty business that is catering to itself more and more. Can we blame them for looking out for number one? We can, if we're expected to shell out mad money for the resulting steaming pile of **** that is presented to us for our entertainment! As fans, we should be more demanding of getting the most for our money. I have read on this site that some fans will purchase whatever fight they show, because they are fight fans. Be honest with yourselves; if the fight is BS, why are you paying for it? Money talks and BS walks. Send a message to these self-serving a$$holes; STOP buying fights that you don't really want to see. Maybe they'll get the message and make some changes to how they do business.

If fighters like GGG and KKK will fight for relatively nothing that's on them. But every fighter and manager won't settle for that and shouldn't.
There is nothing wrong with wanting more money but everybody now thinks they deserve a million or more per fight but if you don't bring in that kind of money, where is it going to come from?

Are broadcasters supposed to just throw money at these guys because they say they want it or because they signed with a high profile advisor and need to pay them now too?

If Stevenson was fighting Kovalev I bet they would pay up because everybody wants to see that fight. What the hell makes Fonfara a fight worth a ton of money? Nobody is asking for that so Stevenson should expect a lot less money for a **** fight like that, especially when he had an agreement then changed the terms when Al Haymon got involved.

dunn - pac should take the **** offer.

dunn - stevenson should go where the money is, fcuk the fight all fans want to see.

basically backing up my point that you are more interested in money than seeing good fights.

i like how you have quickly dropped your iv watched more fights than you comment.
