I've also heard Paulie Malignaggi try to explain this on numerous occasions. Maidana will find that out too.
Im not disagreeing with you completely, because I understand what you are saying, and not everyone is cut from the same cloth so to say, but it is a choice. When you decide to stand in the middle of the ring and try to out twitch Mayweather, then you have basically fallen into his game whether you know it or not.

Golden Boy and Al Haymon won't let Maidana win.
If this was a real fight -- i.e. Maidana was allowed to go all out -- Mayweather gets knocked out in two rounds. Money May isn't as tough as little bro, and Maidana said himself he thinks big bro isn't as strong as little bro.
Easy fight for Maidana; El Chino has faced way better/stronger offensive fighters. Mayweather better be nice and hope he can hold off this Argentine bull.
Maidana TKO 2.

Listen to what Shane Mosley says. I want y'all to peep what he's saying though, about when Canelo and his camp thought that he was just going to be able to walk Floyd down and punch him. Shane was like, nope, that's not about to happen. That is what Marcos Maidana thinks he's going to do, just throw 100 punches a round, at Floyd of all people. All that shyt is going to get stopped FIRST ROUND. He's slower than Canelo, not as good a boxer as Canelo nor is he as big, PBF is going to wreck shyt in May.

Plus Canelo's gameplan was to outbox Floyd he lost the fight before it even started.

Mayweather loves to get into the boxing exchange game with opponents. You can't outbox a better boxer.
Foot speed and a ruff FORWARD moving style and hard hitting is the only thing that can throw Mayweather off. Maidana has decent speed in conjunction with an awkward style, to be able to hit Mayweather, but Mayweather is one of the most experienced chess players out there. He'll find a way to nullify Maidana's attributes, whereas Maidana doesn't quite have the boxing IQ of Mayweather. Should be interesting for the first few rounds. Maidana should go balls out from the first bell and not worry about gassing out. Its his only chance in my opinion. He might be able to catch him.

I have noticed that older posters like ray corso, joseph and myself think its a wide margin in talent difference,, younger posters get caught up in the present day hype, but after watching boxing for decades they will realize that you cant believe the hype in boxing,,, I was the same way when i was younger and i thought nobody could beat Iran Barkley, he was a monster,,,,
You live and you learn
as to age. My only comment on that is some people are wise beyond their years, and some remain childlike in the mind until the day that they die.

Furthermore, you might feel smart picking Floyd every time to whitewash opponents, but is that even based on cognitive analysis or have you just slipped into the herd mentality? Seems Floyd's past opponents arent the only ones that have been lulled.
