Floyd said before the fight that he will go toe to toe with Maidana and in the end he managed to beat Marcos at his own game.

You talk about being in the gym, and yet have the nerve to call 8 oz gloves sparring gloves or pillows. You can keep having fun in the gym in your dreams, because you've never been there and you're not fooling anyone but yourself.

I'm sorry that Floyd won that night because seeing you in this much pain is saddening.
What are your credentials then you ****ing gimp? I dont care if you believe me or not. I'm fine. God, you talk just like my doubting ass wife. "Yes, I only went to the store.. No, I wasnt flirting with that girl at the coffee shop"

Again semantics games seem to be your gift wrapped present, but keep the ****. Powerlocks are sparring gloves COMPARED to the mexican style puncher gloves Maidana prefers.

Again, Im fine. Maidana went above and beyond what 99 percent of people were saying he would go...like I said he would. Im proud of what he was able to do. Its got you gimps scrambling in full on code red damage control. Amusing to see.

as to my ability to suspend bias:

They are similar in that Canelo and Broner were OUTLANDED to the "scoring zone", but won their respective fights because their punches were perceived to have done more damage. Maidana would follow this mode. Although he was supposedly outlanded (debatable), he was landing the more damaging blows.

Truth is Floyd didn't have many crystal clear rounds. It's as you say, a 12 rounded fight that is scored round by round. Floyd did look very impressive in rounds 7 and 9...and his peerless performance in those rounds may color the perception of some as to how he was doing the whole fight. But it's a round to round fight. Truth is Maidana won the first 6 rounds 4-2 or at least tied it at 3-3. Giving Floyd 3 rounds of the first 6 is actually EXTReMELY generous but whatever...I'm sure that's what you did.

After 6 Floyd won 7, and 9th, and probably the 10th.

Going into the championship rounds and being extremely generous to May... That's 6 rounds. So then did you proceed to give the championship rounds to Floyd as well? Oh I see.. You gave him one.

Problem is Maidana can easily be 4-2 in the first 6 rounds and the championship rounds are so close he could easily have snagged those as well. Throw in the 8th which is a lock for Maidana and what do you get? 7-5

It seems to me like both sides are jockeying for rounds. All the close rounds to Maidana does NOT give him a draw.. It gives him a win. All the close rounds to Floyd gives him the win. No fair configuration that exists justifies 117-111 for Floyd. Point. Blank. Period. Because Maidana won at the very LEAST 4 rounds. 116-112 is a score for Floyd that gives him every close round.

Hard fight to score. There are 3-4 very close rounds.

1000% less biased than any pathetic ball polishing post youve ever made. Im good.

        Amir Khan. 27%
        Lucas Matthysse 10%

Interesting results so far from mostly casual fans.
Now Danny has pulled even in the poll.

        Maidana 31%
        Garcia 31%
        Khan 27%
        Matthysse 11%

Danny winning on the big stage (May/Canelo ppv) made him a viable opponent for Floyd. Millions of people saw him win that fight. Obviously, not as many people saw him have a tough time with Herrera. If Floyd doesn't fight Danny in September, he should be on the undercard again. If he wins impressively there would be a huge demand for a Floyd/Danny fight.

Sorry Money May, nobodies buying that you made this a brawl 'for the fans' You just came up against educated pressure and struggled (not for the first time).

Personally I scored it 115-114 (one round even) for Mayweather but there were many close rounds. I can see anywhere from 8-4 Mayweather to 7-5 Chino being acceptable, but to be honest I thought Mayweather probably deserved the win. I didnt score when I first watched and thought Mayweather won more comfortably (that what winning championship rounds does i guess) but when i watched and scored I realised just how many of those early rounds Maidana picked up of off pure aggression and workrate. If Chino had elite stamina he would have won that fight imo

Good fight, not sure there will be much difference in a rematch but I'd watch it again. Bailed GBP/Floyd out because September was becoming a tricky date to fill!

          Great post, green K sent.

Good thing you are not a judge, because that is not how you score a fight. I on the other hand would probably make a great judge.

The sad part is we have to watch it again. Free Money for Floyd.

P.S. if he fights the same way he'll win again But I guess why would he if he could avoid all the illegal ****.

Why no talk of a rematch yet? Because there won't be one. Why? Because Floyd doesn't like close calls.
