        speculations aside, floyd was marked up and clearly winded in the post-fight interview. that's what everyone saw. disguise it however you like, marcos maidana took the best fighter in the world through hell for 12 rounds.

            Mayweather has a strong neck and even stronger midsection. No one suggests he can't take a shot. That's actually one of the secrets to his style. The ability to play off big shots. In those pull counters and straight rights he hit Maidana with in the center of the ring Maidana was trying to dissipate the force of the punch by rolling it or letting it move his head. The unfortunate after effect of trying to do that is it appears to the laymen that the punch is effecting you more than it really is. May is the opposite.. He knows a head snapped back or to the side makes a punch look stronger and higher scoring to his audience, so he keeps his neck rigid if he takes a hit. That's exactly what happened when his pull counter was countered by the right hand.

            He can take a hit though. For sure.

            It was a beautiful punch by Maidana, but it was a stun shot, 3 or 4 seconds later, Mayweather lands two shots and that straight right hand Maidana just countered.

                EPILOGUE of Maidana-mayweather airs tonight! Should be a VERY GOOD one with all of the pre and post-fight controversy that took place! First time we'll see how his corner and mayweather react to a LOSS!!

                    It's OK Chino lost and will probably get a chance to lose in September again.
