If anyone believes that Manny's last 3 opponents were tougher than Floyd's last 3 opponents, they should be banned from this site! Even Timothy Bradley's last 3 opponents have been tougher than Manny's last 3 opponents! Khan does not deserve this fight. I would rather see Lara, Maidana (if he's lucky), or Timothy Bradley. Manny and Khan need a legit Welterweight win, like beating Timothy Bradley, before they get to fight Floyd.

In your job, does people get paid less for doing the same job but have financial issues or are they paid their worth?

At your job does the CEO make the same amount you make? DO you dictate to your CEO? Maybe you will understand this: Consider Floyd the CEO of the company you work for and Manny as you, that's what we're dealing with here.

It's evident that you haven't watched Freddie Roach' interview where he said "Manny can't afford to retire from boxing because of his finances" now go be a good boy and take your ass to youtube and do some research. Weren't you taught to stay out of grown folks conversations, lmfao.
So Boxing has existed for over 100 years as an organized sport...can we assume we are speaking of thousands of boxers both educated or otherwise who were screwed? So again how is this ground breaking, how is this news? How is it relevant? The honest truth is we don't know what Pacquaio has or doesn't have, I don't believe he knows himself but again this isn't the Wall Street Journal financial section..this is Boxing Scene. Key being "BOXING". Where was I? I was 6 years old almost to the exact date it happened, where was my grandfather and pops probably in one of the rows in proximity to you, i'm not new to the sport like you are assuming. I grew up my whole life on boxing bro so you can skip that shh, I support the sport from the golden gloves on up. You can suck a huge dck with that condescending bullshh trying to act all elitits. You if anythingn sound like a dumb ass making excuses about money when this sport first and foremost has been about matchups not purses.

Word is floyd made $88-95 mil of the canelo fight. You can always use more money.

SPort has always been about money-you didn't have the internet or an NSB to get all the inside information. SImilar to how pro wrestling websites changed the way we understand sports entertainment. Unless you think SRR and those guys fought 120 times for free.

You referenced hip hop. Think JayZ-"I'm overcharging Ni**as for what they did to the Cold Crush"-thats what floyd/haymon are doing.
I understand he makes money, I understand he likes making money...the reality is that can't be the only reason you are still in this sport. At this point with the clock ticking on both men the reality is they are putting the final touches on their legacies. To me that's always been a motivator for fighters in the past when they are financially comfortable. How can money fight when manny doesn't want to..well the last time we heard him willing to say fk it lets go 50/50 was 4 years ago.. and what's manny's excuse? I'm worth more than that..now if he said that today and the fight didn't take place i'd respect it but honestly you can't expect someone who can take two easy fights and earn what you are offering them to fight you when they can make that same amount much easier. The fact remains nobody left in boxing is going to get Floyd the canelo type dollars again...sorry it isn't happening but again it isn't about money and shouldn't have been. I feel we got fked by the sanctioning bodies by not making this a mandatory in 2009.

Perfect foe for someone who claims to be a rich coward, don't know what y'all are fussing about. If you don't want to watch a scared fighter then don't watch him...simple as that.

The CEO in my company pays me my worth, what I bring to the table...
He doesn't low ball me because I have financial issues, he keeps me happy with incentives so I can work harder to make the company more money.

I can respect your passion for the sport but for the boxers it isn't about legacy its about money. Its their jobs.

I think sometimes we forgt this. SRR. Armstrong, Pep didn't fight twice a month or week and fought each other 5 and 6 times because they were seeking to leave a legacy for us. They did it to pay their mortgage and buy cars and milk. The same reasons we go to work.

If you are lucky, your job will give you a clock, watch or whatever other memento for time served. Maybe you'll get a building or floor named after you.

Manny made business decisions that were best for him. I'm cool with that. But he decided to refuse floyd's offers twice and that shouldn't be minimized.

Listen I respect people's opinions what I have an issue is when the talk revolves exclusively around financials. I think it minimizes the importance of the sport, as fans of the sport we spend more time talking about finances than anything else. I can't think of two mega fighters of any era who would've been excused for not fighting each other over money. Both men have received ****** amount of money in offers to make this fight happen. This wasn't restricted to the networks, if the rumors are true that both men were offered $50 plus million each to fight each other and neither side said yes I think offering $40 million isn't an attempt to really make the match. A fight supposed to make over $250 million there is more than enough money involved into making it happy. The fact remains there is greed on both sides, whether we believe Pacquaio deserves $40 million, $60 million is irrelevant..Floyd himself would still make more money than he ever has or could in any other situation so if it is about business first then there is no excuse, your cut of $250 million is $125 million...there isn't anyone else who is going to get you that. So the money reasons are nothing but an excuse to me..because the money was already in place and pretty much guaranteed this whole time. The testing I can understand, the network issue I can understand but the money issues I cannot even come close to allowing as an excuse. Neither one of these guys wanted to really fight is what i'm coming to a conclussion on..

floyd has to fight guys Show-Time and his team picks.

he can no longer pick turds like ghost again because that upset the business men at Showtime.

Khan makes sense, he in many ways are similar to floyd and pacman, they got lots of haters.

fighters that have lots of haters sell fights.

Casual fans would lap this up. it will sell.

its irelevant whether khan is good or not, if it sells, its a fight.
