Froch got £1.5million and Groves got £500,000

rematch Groves and Froch both can make well over £5 million each,
Froch will probably make even more

Froch is a big name boxer but he doesn't bank big as far as purses ( not many boxers do), but that will all change if he rematches Groves.

Froch fights on PPV since signing with Matchroom, they have a deal with Sky.

If Froch beats Groves in a rematch fair and square, it'll be better for his career, as he will win over even more fans and he make more money. He'd get many advertising deals from it as well.

The Groves rematch is essential for his career as there is a huge demand for it in Britain, and he will never live it down if he doesn't give him the fight

I read when all was said and done he made £ 4 million for fighting Kessler the second time.

Which was his biggest payday and ironically a rematch

Overall his purses haven't been big as David Haye

Groves rematch is 10 times more bigger than the Kessler rematch, I really feel this will go down as one of the most lucrative British boxing matches. I would not be surprised if Froch banks 10 to 12 million. He has the belts and he can demand a lions share of everything, I am sure Groves will be happy with 2 million and a rematch

          60K why not?

Throw Khan vs Brook on the undercard and I see it happening.

Kessler is a big name. Groves was an unknown so I guess the money was about right.

1.5 Mil pounds is 2.25 Mil. For fighting a Mandatory isn't bad.

That's what's so disgusting. David Haye, a fraud at HW, commanded a bigger purse for his joke fights, while a warrior like Carl flew under the radar.

Heavy weight boxing always has that prestige.

This matchup of British fighters, in and out of the ring has gotten the wider public interested.

It is a huge Eubank/Benn esque rematch which if marketed well could do huge numbers.

Hearn wants it to keep Groves with Matchroom, but I think Froch is going to pussy out.

                  Keep the pressure up.

You don't know much about sport "feuds" in the UK...
The first fight already sold about 20,000 seats, I suspect... The sold it out in 4 hours!!! If Hearn (Froch and Groves) hypes the rematch "nation wide', they could sell a stadium (with about 40,000-60,000 seats)...

                      I was wrong...
