I can find you quotes where he says the opposite. At the end of the day, actions speak louder than words and you only have to look at Froch's record to know he doesn't back down from taking a fight, let alone the biggest fight of his career.

To Lacedup, I also think the rematch is bigger than Haye-Fury and Haye-Chisora, they'll be eyeing Hatton's post-war record gate of 55,000.

Yeah, but they were also relatively cheaper than Haye-Fury. Regardless, I was talking PPV.

Haye is clearly still the biggest draw in British Boxing, or was, and the PPV for that fight would have been immense.

Hatton-Lazcano was 55,000 in the City of Manchester Stadium (Ethiad Stadium today). I believe MSG is around 20,000, ditto for Vegas venues.

Still can't quite fathom why this is the case. Haye is not 'exciting'. Froch's PPVs > Haye's PPVs.

I just wish Haye would go away. Unfortunately he'll be back next year for the Vitali fight. Maybe Vitali will do us all a favour and retire the fraud.

My friend was at that fight,Tyson (Mike) was in attendance.it was after Mayweather but before Manny right ? what a turn out for a fighter coming off the back of a loss.why do Groves and Froch fight in 20k stadiums when they can attract the bigger venues,is it fear of not filling the event ? I dont understand.

Kessler vs Froch was the same,I read Hearn parent owns a football stadium, maybe Kessler objected, but surely Froch Groves would not object, from Mikkel Kessler point of view maybe he didn't wish to face 50 thousand Brits (well Welsh I suppose) again !

I think Kessler and Froch have aged, and looking back at their fight in May,they both shipped x amount of shots too many.I hope they never rematch,I dont wanna see one of them carried out of the ring.

Froch has to give Groves his get backs if he does I don't want to see Groves head flopping around like he's hurt even though he's not.

                    They do, indeed.

                    It has a capacity of c. 9,000.

How many did Haye vs Chisora attract, that was of the back of a playground brawl, typical thug mentality wanting to see them duke it out in a ring after all the intrigue of reading about the incident in the Sun and watching footage on youtube.no doubt it attracted all the mindless football yobs and actual fans of the two were priced out of the event.

one thing I noticed with Haye's heavyweight title fights are they arent as exciting as the likes of Froch v Kessler or Groves or even the the Murray v Martinez fight.its all to do with hype, its just the way Haye manages to market himself, anything the Sun and Star newspaper print their readers buy into, and whenever Sky put a ppv event out through their news channel,it whips up a frenzy.Haye seems to exert a lot of swing with the Sun newspaper.has anyone noticed how many articles from the Star made it onto boxing scene, they were all pro Fury in the Haye Fury build up.they seem to have each paper in their pocket.I wouldn't encourage anybody to read anything on either the Sun's website or the Star, some of the stuff they put out on those sites is peculiar to say the least.
