Ward can't afford not to fight tonight he has more to lose than Rodriguez...
Your not the one taking punches to the face. Rules are put in place to protect the fighters and the integrity of the sport. Edwin was unprosessional, let the fans down and should be made an example out of. Ward should be compensated and the rules allow him to be.

Fans paid money to see a world championship fight and were let down.

Fighters not making the weight is becoming the norm. 10-20% is one thing, but half of your purse is something to really make you think twice.

I don't believe in weight-draining; if you accepted the fight, you accepted the challenge to make that weight. you signed the contract. If a fighter doesn't think he can make the weight, he shouldn't have signed. NO EXCUSES.
We can't pick and choose who pays what. Mayweather is my fav fighter but he didn't make the contract weight for Marquez, he didn't even attempt to make the weight and there is no way Floyd would have got into the ring with Marquez If he had to give up 45% of his purse before the fight....I think making it a no title fight, 20% purse fine, and rehydration stipulation of 180's pounds is enough....

He isn't what you guys think he is man. The dude is afraid to fight the first undefeated challenger in his entire career and he doesn't want it. He was happy with 20% of Rodriguez purse yesterday and today it isn't good enough....how convenient?

exactly, because Ward is trying to weasel his way out of it all together. Where were the "rules" at yesterday when Ward AGREED to 20%?

Rodriguez should just pull an injury and say **** Ward, **** HBO, duck the WBA.

                Maybe it's just mind games.

I don't think it's a matter of paying up. It's more a matter of him not getting paid and if he's not getting paid, he won't go into the ring. If he doesn't get into the ring, we (us, the fans) won't get to watch a fight.

Your a smart guy. Would you rather have $200k or $450k?

I'm not a lawyer but he has a contractual obligation to fight. If the rules said 45% that's what it says. He signed the paperwork and agreed to all of this beforehand.
