I think Cotto was a pretty good scrap, other than that, which fight do you think?

the cotto fight was a good one. The ortiz fight was heating up. But i like the hatton fight the most. the energy from the mgm grand was coming thru the tv.

The Ortiz fight was interesting. I'm sure Floyd would have won if it went longer, but Vic seemed to land a bit before the "protect yourself at all times" punch combo ended it.

I also thought the Victor Ortiz (2011) AND Shane Mosley (2010) fights had definite moments of excitement but, the last fight that was up there from beginning to end was the Hatton fight (2007).

Once his opponents start spending a lot of time backpedaling, Mayweather's fights start to lack the drama many would classify as "exciting" because all the fantasy goes out the window and everyone knows that this opponent isn't "the one".
I'm glad someone admits it. floyd be walking these guys down early in the fights and they be backing up, he had canelo backing up early in the fight. and canelo didnt do jack. Of course if youre in the lead and you're smart you start boxing not going toe to toe with someone who outweighs you by over 17lbs. When floyd was walking his ass down early he had his chance. he didnt take it.

Floyd has a RoyJones type of appeal in fights like those, and THATS why people made noise that WHOLE fight. Not screaming in excitement, but going ooh and ahh everytime he did a fancy move. Now the canelo fight, he stood in the pocket the WHOLE fight, walked him down, and trapped him on the ropes to really BEAT UP Canelo. People screamed out of excitement the WHOLE Canelo fight. No one booed like they did against Ghost fight. And danny's fight was boring as HELL until the last 3 rounds.
I understand what your saying. I guess it all depends on the viewer & what he likes to see, but the JMM was made to make him look good & he had EVERY advantage going in there so there's no possible way that can be exiting. Boxing is two men that are equal size, weight & skill to make a good fight if the other guy Is on another level it's just simply won't be cimpetitive, because one guy just has all the advantages. Which in most cases is Floyd's type of fight.

I happen to love Boxing so lets say....Canelo . I appreciate just about any style & truth be told the people that don't put themselves at a disadvantage when it really comes down to it.

Aside from the Cotto fight, I've never really been hyped up during a Floyd fight. He doesn't knockout anyone so what u see the first 6 rds is what u are gonna see the next 6 rds. I tend to just sit, drink and just relax. I'm never jumping up and down or screaming during his fights. Just sit and watch. It's ok but it's not that exciting. Not knocking Floyd just saying the truth.

I find them all exciting. It's not his job to go in reckless and all out swinging, and it's not his fault Alvarez was too shy in the ring like a step-son. It's all about winning in whatever way it takes, f@#k entertaining people who don't know what they are watching. It's on the opponents to do their thing, Mayweather does his thing by controlling the fight

GTFO!!! The JMM fight wasnt made to do ANYTHING. Floyd didnyt even use his size advantage to overpower him or walk him down. He stood on the outside and outboxed the SHIET out of him. And he HIMSELF was coming off a TWO year layoff. Nevertheless, whatever happened on the scale, had nothing to do with the entertainment value of the fight. The Crowd LOVED that fight. And it wasnt a high volume screaming, do to brutality. It was just a wow factor due to the Roy Jones-like athleticism, and speed, and slickness. The crowd LOVED it.

Boxing isnt anything to do with two men of equal sizes, and skills, etc. All that crap your saying is stuff that your making up off the top of your head. lol People fight of ALL sizes, weights, etc.

Floyd was just a better fighter that night and he is WAAAY too good for JMM, no matter WHAT size they are. Floyd made him look so foolish that the weight simply didnt matter. Now if you want to say the Ghost fight was boring, I agree. People booed that fight for a reason. Floyd was slow as hell, his offense was one dimensional, only throwing 3 right hands a round, left hook was terrible, jab was awful. But Floyd RARELY performs THAT bad.
