I think Cotto was a pretty good scrap, other than that, which fight do you think?
I really don't get why this is even a question. To me watching "boxing" as a science is as exciting or more as watching brawling.

The fight I like best of Mayweather's-and they are very few- is his hammer-and-tongs scrap against Emanuel Augustus. At the time he was venturing into the "lightweight" class, and in his cautious way, picked a sure-fire loser in Augustus (then called Emanuel Burton) who had about 15 or more losses, and was himself really at that time only a Jr. Lightweight. Augustus weighed in at
around 133 I seem to recall.

Mayweather was surprised,, as Augustus put up a fierce fight, and was actually enjoying himself, as he always did when fighting. He was an odd bird. Until very recently, Mayweather always said that Augustus was his toughest opponent. As I still watch the fight occasionally, I can only agree with him.

If Augustus had had any kind of decent punch, I think he'd have stopped Mayweather.

I think every Floyd fight is exciting, not necessarily because of the action in the ring but moreso because of the stakes riding on each of his fights. He competes for tens of millions of dollars every time out, so each win counts more for him than it does for any other fighter.

The most exciting of his recent fights to watch was Cotto, but again I've found all his fights (Ortiz, Guerrero, Canelo) in recent years to be exciting.

Depends on who is watching it. I for one think most of his fights are exciting because no matter who the opponent is he's going to put on a superior performance. If all he did was talk smack and engage in clinch fests in all his fights like other boxers we've seen, no way would he be the PPV star he is. If you're not excited by Mayweather there are plenty other boxers with more appeasing styles to suite your taste. The beauty of the sport is you can watch two fighters literally beat each other to a pulp or you can watch boxers like Mayweather, and plenty of others put on virtuoso performances in the ring.

I can just picture you giving Floyd a Standing O in the midst of all those who are booing at the top of their lungs.
