As a Puerto Rican man, I respect Cruz a lot. I know he meant no disrespect to my beloved flag. He was simply expressing himself. He was putting two parts of his identity into one form of expression (his Puerto Rican heritage and his *******uality). I hope he performs well on Saturday. Also, I hope he has a long lasting marriage to his husband.

I never understood "gay pride". Whats there to be proud about? You're attracted to the same ***. Good for u, now move on with your life. No need to constantly shove it in people's faces. I'm straight. Should I be proud to be straight? No. It is what it is. I don't feel the need to wear some sort of flag with certain colors to show how proud I am of that fact.

You'd have to be a ****phobe to be even remotely offended by Orlando Cruz's outfit, all the notions of him being 'over the top' or 'going too far', and such like, as well as this nonsense flag thing, are all pathetic justifications for pretty standard prejudice and the hate borne out of it. This forum really drives home how remarkably backward too many people still are.

It is not hard to understand. If people are discriminating against you because of who and what you are, to the point where people are insulting you, saying how wrong you are to be gay and perhaps even being assulted for it, or worse, then saying you are proud to be gay is a way of telling all those ignorant people that this is what you are and you are not going to apologize for it because there is nothing wrong with it. The ignorant and hateful posts of too many on this forum actually highlights the importance of someone like Orlando Cruz coming out and showing pride in his *******uality. Nobody is attacking hetero***uals for being hetero***ual, that is the difference.

Cruz is being flamboyant and it is going to create a reaction. Younger ppl won't be so offended but older ppl are going to be. Ppl used to react with Camacho's attire but he never went this extreme.

It is all right if he wants to be gay but it has the appearance that he just wants to shove it in ppl faces and it is going to cause a reaction. If he wins impressively ppl will start to accept his antics more

i dont think anyone cares if hes gay or not atleast i dont if he came to the ring carrying the flag with rainbow shorts i dont think it be a big deal just my opinion. I dont think its a huge deal but people cant help if they are offended by something and it seems if your from puerto rico you are offended and if your not from puerto rico then your not to say someone hates gays because this offends them aint really fair tho
