Mayweather has consistently avoided the best available opposition (Great Article)

Real boxing fans know he has ducked the best, he ducks them til they are washed up. There was definitely no reason to not have fought Cotto, Paul Williams or Margarito. Instead he took the easier route, he probably could have beat all of them, but they would have tested his chin and body. Ever since his gift decision over Jose Luis Castillo, he has been careful with his selection of opponents. Unless he fights some legit fights before retires, his legacy won't be the greatest (like he thinks he is, what a joke). Great fighters fight the best (Ali, Robinson, Leonard) even if they are expected to lose.

The fight was never, EVER, rejected, what was rejected was the random blood testing etc. That happened almost 3 years ago, since then Manny agreed and I think the initial deal that followed was testing with a 14 day cut off. Floyd's team said no to that, Manny's team came back ,some time later and said that it was ok, all testing ,whenever. That's not speculation, that's fact. Go through the countless articles that popped up over the time.

Floyd now has no reason to duck a Manny fight and yet his fans still being up the drugs debate as if it's still relevant, news flash kids, it's not.

But the problem with Floyd's legacy is NOT Manny Pacquiao, it's that, more than any other sublimely gifted fighter in history, Floyd has more "what ifs" in his career. Name me any other fight where you can rattle off a list of 6 or 7 primed, champions that the main man never fought.

Hauser has stated in his article, both parts, I recommend all the Floyd **** lickers to read part two as well, that Floyd is a great fighter but like many other undefeated fighters, he will never be considered amongst the greatest. Again, that's not opinion, that's fact.

I personally believe that in terms of ATG rankings, Manny and Floyd shouldn't even be mentioned in the same breath. Can you imagine if we were talking about Manny not having fought Marquez, Barrera and Morales? Manny was a certified ATG by the time he was in his mid 20s, Floyd at the time was still scratching and scraping his way along.

Can you point at Manny and say what if???? The only what if I see is Manny fighting a better version of Mosley, that is LITERALLY it, who else is he supposed to have fought?

Manny beat Morales, Barrera, Marquez, Cotto, Margarito, Ledwabo, Oscar, we all know he beat Bradley too.

In at least 3 of those fights he was an underdog, which just goes to show he took risks when they were meant to be taken.

People point at Mayweather v Canelo as his most dangerous fight since Oscar...Floyd was a 9-1 favourite going into the match up. It wasn't show much boxing as it was theater. If we even include Cotto as Floyd's most "dangerous" opponent since Oscar, we see that Floyd was at the very least a 3-1 favourite in that.

What Hauser has done with his articles is put Floyd's achievements into perspective. He has pulled Floyd Mayweather's world into reality and dismissed the fairy tale of this supposed greatest ever.

You can hate him for that if you must but he haas used fact, not opinion based on blond lover or hate. Deal with it.

Its like this, to seriously sit here and argue about Pac vs. Floyd fight would be dumb... This is what it is..

We were all fools into thinking Floyd would fight Pacman in his prime 09-12. That was never going to happen.

Team Floyd knew that if they kept putting roadblocks up that Arum would eventually keep Pac busy, more money for Arum, until Pac eventually slows downs or even looses (Bradley, Marquez)...

Now Pacs time is dwindling, and if he looks good against Rios, which he should then a possible Pac vs Floyd fight would be and should be mentioned... but from there Floyd would prob say Pac has Marquez and Bradley problems first..

If that was case he wouldnt rematched Castillo. Paul Williams or Margarito aren't the best they wont go into anybody Hall of Fame so lets cut the bulli***** Williams was good and the other was barely above average.

I agree, no athlete should refuse tests, many have been banned for that offense.

What you fail to realise is, that Manny did not refuse drug testing, boxing has had drug testing for a couple decades now. What he refused was the drug testing Floyd wanted to implement, which was above and beyond anything that had happened until that point.

What you also fail to understand is, Manny has accepted the tests on numerous occasions since.
