Comments Thread For: Sergio Martinez Has No Problem Facing Golovkin in 2014

Promoter Lou DiBella, and adviser Sampson Lewkowicz, informed krikya360.com that WBC middleweight champion Sergio Martinez (51-2-2, 28KOs) has no problem facing WBA/IBO champion Gennady Golovkin (27-0, 24KOs) in 2014.

Martinez suffered multiple injuries in April's decision win over undefeated Martin Murray. Because of the length of the necessary rehabilitation, Martinez will not fight again until the first half of 2014.

I like Sampson, but he's full of **** here. Sergio ruined Cintron? He pretty much backpedaled away from Cintron all of the championship rounds. Ruined Pavlik? The guy just came out of rehab. Dzinziruk had not fought a live body in 2.5 years. Ruined Barker? The guy had 2 life and death wins at EBU level before Sergio, what was there to ruin. GTFO.

You got a terrible memory, buddy.

But you're right, about not ruining him. Cintron's best win came after the Martinez fight.

I'm not rewatching that ****. I know what I saw, after the "headbutt" Cintron was coming forward and Sergio backpedaling ineffectively. Horrible fight.
