See boxing fans this is what you call a TRUE CHAMPION!!! While many here don't think he should fight or would fight him for whatever reasons Martinez just said "I'll fight him" with no talk about star power, money, no 800 demands, etc. This dude is truly of a dying breed of boxers. I do think Mayweather will try to get at Sergio before he fights GGG because more than a few fighters smell blood in the water due to the guys age and recent injuries.

Here we go, fans giving boxers credit for saying things before they actually do anything.

I don't doubt that Sergio would fight him but Lou DiBella wants no part of this fight. Not any time soon at least. He'll try and stall it as long as possible whilst hoping the Golovkin buzz dies down. He did the same thing with Pirog.

Relax. I want the fight too but everything you said happens during negotiations so you can say that yet

If Martinez has stated he'll fight him you best believe HBO holding contracts on both men will make this fight happen unless Lou and GBP agree to something else

This is Martinez we are talking about..everyone said the same thing about him fighting Paul Williams and he did twice. This dude genuinely doesn't care who he fights so long as his check is 7 digits.

Well, it has a reputation for being one of the worst robberies in recent memory. First Cintron was KO'd in the seventh, but the fight was allowed to continue and Cintron was given 5 minutes to recover. He should have also been DQ'd after his team broke into the ring to complain about the "headbutt." Then at the end the fight was scored a draw even though Cintron won 2-3 rounds tops.

However, I doubt Cintron was ruined given he went on to beat Alfredo Angulo in his next fight.

Hours before the Martinez - Murray fight, Sergio's manager Lewkowicz said, during a long interview with journalists of an Argentine sports TV channel, that a Martínez - Golovkin fight was possible. His tone gave the impression that Martínez team didn't see GGG as a threat (I have already said this in another forum before GGG - Macklin).

Now, I think Martínez, who has a very high boxing IQ, has seen the flaws in GGG game (the very old soviet school has many weakness, as you know). What we don't know is if Sergio still has the skills he would need to take advantage of these flaws, but if he can recover 100% from his injuries, I think he will fight GGG and could left his face like a bloody piece of meat.

Martinez is going to get "good boy'd" and even his promoter knows it..

If JCC could put Martinez down late and almost finish him then GGG definitely will..
