Floyd is in the drivers seat, let's be real on that. So he's going to dictate the size of the ring, venue, money, weight and anything else he wants to. Canelo wants this fight, he has to take those stipulations.

Just like Oscar did before him, not Floyd is calling all the shots. In the end, Canelo will balloon up to 170 or so, and that will be a tough task for Floyd to deal with in the ring.
It doesn't matter if Floyd's in the drivers seat, he's still a hypocrite. You can't call out someone for doing something, and then turn around and do it yourself. You can't self praise yourself for doing something in one fight and then the next fight do the opposite. That is hypocritical by definition.

Who is in charge has nothing to do with anything.

I'm not saying that he doesn't have the right or power to get a catchweight, I'm saying if he does do it, then he's a hypocrite.

catchweight is fine because canelo agreed to it. he agreed to put himself at a disadvantage and give that advantage to floyd. at the same time, canelo obviously has the size advantage which he could use if the catchweight will not affect him. if it affects his performance though it's on him and he can't blame anybody for his loss. if he wins then it's going to be extra special because he won even with moving down 2 more pounds.

as for floyd, yes he opened up himself to criticism and excuses should he win because of the catchweigh just like any other catchweight in the past. the hipocrisy is just an added insult to the injury. in return, he'll earn millions more for fighting canelo instead of another guerrero-type fighter.

          Canelo or Floyd?

Canelo could of fought Angulo, Lara winner, vanes.
Floyd could of faced Alexander,Garcia, khan.

There's two ways to look at it.

            A) Canelo agreed to the catchweight, if he loses the onus is on him.. he signed up for it.

            B) If Canelo loses because of the extra weight, although he has himself to blame... it was still a factor, and Floyd did not beat Canelo at his best. One of Floyds main points for fighting Cotto, is he wanted to beat Cotto at his best so he agreed to his weight... however he will most likely NOT be fighting Canelo at his best.

Floyd is better than Angulo, Lara, Vanes

Canelo is better than Alexander, Garcia, and Khan.

Floyd is a big time hypocrite period . You fight cotto and Oscar at 154 but Canelo needs a catchweight?? I thought you want fighters comfortable when they fight you?? Smdh .. He's obviously scared of canelo for him to request a catchweight when he's fought there twice already smdh .. His legacy can be soo much better if he didn't make so many damn excuses whenever there is a legitamite threat

i was asking viperz007 who said canelo was a cherry pick. he's a crazy manny fan so he didn't respond.

Canelo v floyd is the biggest fight to be made right now. there is nothing wrong with it-at least if you ask rational boxing fans.

at this point it isn't about floyd as much as it is the poster being a hypocrite or not.
