If the both of these fighters are able to call the shots during their reign on top, then, why is it different for Floyd? Is it because he plays the villan for every promotion? I do not get it. Canelo wanted to challenge the best, well, to be honest, he should fight at 147! He wants his title and throne, then you come to fight me at my weight. It was noted and true that both fights at 154 were hard for Floyd. He comes into the fight being outweighed by 17 or 20. Cotto weighed 168 for their fight. Canelo loves to come in at 170-175. Floyd beat a super middleweight in Cotto and will handily outbox a light heavyweight but still will not get the credit he deserves. When he wins, the media will just demand a rematch at the full 154 pound weight limit. So if I am Floyd and I know that no matter what I do, I will not get the credit, then, I will not budge on anything, just as his predecessors did.
How could anyone fault Pacquiao back then when he was a career Superfeatherweight who just won his first Lightweight bout and title. Here comes the Middleweight Dela Hoya cherry picking the Superfeather Pacquiao asking him to fight for retirement money. Do you mean Superfeather Pacquiao had to jump to Jr. Middleweight so he will not be labelled catchweight king? ****, Pacquiao jumped three weight divisions to fight Delah Hoya and still rearranged his beautiful face. It was not Pacquiao's fault he was asked to come as a Welterweight.

Floyd on the other hand was a career Welter. So one division couldn't hurt right? I'm in shock you could not comprehend the difference between Pacquiao's and Floyd's weight arranged fight with Oscar.

But, but, but, but according to flommo logic Canelo is the catchweight King! :blow:

Floyd contradicted himself on the catch weight! Big ****ing deal! He also contradicted himself when he said he wouldn't be fighting any young lions or young champions. Should we talk about that too. No matter what Floyd does there's always gonna be some imaginary **** to ***** about.

Canelo needs to pull a Money May and come in 2lbs over the agreed catch weight.

One is a 154 fighter the other is 147 and can carry up in the division because of his skills. Even if Floyd wins to me he is not a JMW because, if he beats Canelo that fight would probably be his last at 154. I give him props for defending the title and taking on Canelo. I also give props to Canelo I think it would have been better for him to wait but, not sure the fight would have happen if he did. This could be a change of the guard. It has to happen at some point.

If that's true and I don't discredit what you are saying then yes that's ****** on cotto's part. I read a few articles saying that Pac wanted it at 145 and Arum pushed Cotto into it. That being said really no one could blame Pac then.

I'm a big mayweather fan. Lost some respect for him. He accuses manny pacquiao of draining fighters and talks **** about fighting guys at their comfortable weight. And saying " weight don't win fights ". Then he request a 150 lb catchweight? Why call manny pacquiao the catchweight king then fight at one? Don't wanna hear **** about canelo weighing 170 at fight night. Bottom line he's a hypocrite.

Just like he accused pacquiao of peds but the boxers in his stable aren't clean. If you stand for cleaning up the sport why not start with the boxers signed to you? I wouldn't have **** to say f he fought at 154 lbs. But not only will he lose respect from his real fans but he gives his haters something to criticize him for.

I know he doesn't care much. But he always says he won't win either way. If he wins someone was too young or too old or not good enough. Now he gave the haters an excuse. Now if he wins they'll say canelo was weight drained and too young. This fight is not as significant as it would be at 154. It would've proved mayweather stands by the **** that he says and its not just talk.

My analysis. Mayweather has a lot to lose. Canelo can hit hard and I don't see mayweather hurting him. I see either a decision by mayweather or a ko by canelo. **** it I'm putting my cash on the underdog. This is as close of a fight I felt floyd could lose in years.

It was always bluster (the 147 talk nothing below 154) and negotiation tactics IMO.
