    Why are you crying?

    Canelo and his team aren't.

If the Alvarez team thought it such a disadvantage to come down to 152 then they wouldn't have taken the fight.

Appearantly the 2lbs is worth the pay and the risk.

If they don't care why should you?

Im not concerned about Canelo's camp and yes im well aware they agreed to the fight otherwise there wouldn't be a fight dumbass. My criticism is that Floyd fan's are hypocrites because all they ever did was scream bloody murder about pac's cathweight fights and now they want to act like it's "just two pounds". The other thing I have beef with is that Floyd always finds a way to weasel his way to an advantage in the fight. Never seems to be able to fight anyone on even terms. They either lost the fight before like Judah, or they are carlos baldomir who ******, they are an old Oscar, a 140 pound Hatton, a lightweight JMM, Shane Oldsley, B- Ortiz, Old Cotto, B- Guerrero, and now Alvarez at a catchweight. Will the man ever fight a prime worldclass fighter at their correct weight? Ever?

kinda hard to complain about floyd odh and floyd gatti-they called the shots in those fights.

did you complain when odh fought bhop at 157 or when srl gave hagler 50/50 in order to get the wider ring?

the bigger earner has ALWAYS negotiated advantages in boxing. it seems hypocritical to get mad now that floyd is doing it once he got the top spot.

If he wanted the fight and a monsterpurse, he had to accept the CW. A CW would not have been accepted for anybody but Floyd. This is about money for the Ginger.

I understand this, but it's beside's the point. Regardless of the reason, Canelo still volunteered to accept the catchweight.

Anything above 147 all the way up to 154 is considered Jr. Middleweight, Floyd has the option of being anywhere from 148 to 154. If one is being honest, then all you should be concerned about is your own weight and being comfortable, not about the other guys weight - unless you are HOPING that it somewhat depletes him.

Or you are hoping a gross disadvantage is mitigated somewhat. As someone who has been in a ring, I can tell you, 20 pounds can make all the difference in the world. What Floyd has said aside (and boxers are basically like pugilistic politicians why people take them at their word is beyond me.) that might paint him as hypocritical and what have you, a two pound weight stipulation from a natural 147 lber should almost be expected in this day and age when they are fighting someone so much naturally bigger than them. Canelo, realistically should be moving up to middleweight soon, and Floyd barely scratches 150. Its a major consideration. For those looking for historical precedent, don't. Sport science has changed and rehydration has become ridiculous in this age of boxing. A catchweight is fair and honorable in the right cases, it evens the playing field for a smaller fighter. And I never got on Pac for "draining" Cotto so you can't use that Ace on me.

I say Ginger boy should do it! Defeating Floyd will only make you a Superstar on the level of Pacquiao. A world wide superstar. Something Floyd could only dream of.
Beating Floyd makes you a worldwide superstar but Floyd can only dream of being one? Yeah that's good logic. (/sarcasm)

Canelo himself didn't think so, he brought it up first two years ago

Yet in the other thread you are saying that Manny has 3 CWs .... does it matter or not?

What makes it even more hypocritical for Floyd and many of his fans is that for years, CWs was evil. Manny was draining due to 2lbs.

                  Now you say:
                  - "kinda hard to complain"
                  - "the bigger earners has ALWAYS negotiated advantages"
                  - "it seems hypocritical to get mad now that floyd is doing it once he got the top spot."

Floyd was the one who said 14 day cutoff with Manny.
Floyd accepted 50/50 deal with Manny

You OK with Floyd taking them off the table.

How can you not see that something like WEIGHT is not going to be on the table forever? Canelo was young and still is young. He can grow in a few years and can't make the weight anymore .... that is a good enough reason .....

So it seems like what your saying is that if you take the list of Mayweathers opponents..... take a few years off on some.... add a few pounds to others..... that would change his record AND your opinion of his abilities?

                      Am I close?
